Re: Suing Drug makers

They should focus on the doctors that misprescribe opioids. This is another situation of overreaction by punishing and making it more difficult for those that use the meds legitimately.

Re: OK: Oklahoma restaurant shooter had license as armed guard; attack stopped by 2 armed men

Gee. Two armed civilians independently take on the same bad guy and somehow manage not to shoot each other or anyone else (except the bad guy ;-) ) in a wild flurry of mis-aimed bullets and misidentification. And they weren't even gunned down by the police. It's a miracle. Exactly. I'm also ...

Re: FL:Stand your ground law under fire for parking space dispute murder

Not familiar with Florida law. Isn't there a grand jury in any of this? And, of course, I understand a prosecutor can "indict a ham sandwich." He has been charged. http://www.tampabay.com/florida-parking-space-stand-your-ground-shooter-arrested-manslaughter This does not appear to be a sickly old m...

Re: FL:Stand your ground law under fire for parking space dispute murder

DISCLAIMER: I DON'T THINK THE SHOOTER IS THE BEST GUY ON EARTH! (some acted as if I thought that elsewhere on the 'Net). :confused5  And, I wouldn't have done what the shooter did in confronting the people parking illegally. Not my business, I leave that sort of enforcement up to the police ...

Re: FL:Stand your ground law under fire for parking space dispute murder

These must be a lot of people here that have never been blindly attacked. During that shock, can you make a split decision? You will only possibly pay with your life if you are wrong. Just sayin, put yourself in his shoes and remember... I can’t put myself in his shoes because I’m not a jerk who th...

Re: Houston El Tiempo (Ninfa’s) Restaurant Sessions protest

Don't you remember all the boycotts and social media uproar when Obamas and the Clintons went somewhere to eat and had their pictures taken?

Oh yeah, I don't either.

Re: UT: Screwdriver v Gun, Homework Assignment

I guess some think cops shouldn't carry guns and should just reason and negotiate with bad actors so no one will get hurt.

I on the other hand, think it was his job to bring her into custody and if she won't relinquish her weapon, he should deal with her accordingly.

Re: Classical case of Suicide by a cop

That is disturbing. I am surprised he didn't shoot him much sooner. That cop showed much more patience and tolerance that I would expect of a cop.

This link, http://babylonbee.com/news/liberals-app ... lex-jones/ made me think of some of the double standard comments in this thread.

Re: private property and the police

Who maintains the roads? Maybe they need more evidence in order to make an arrest such as proof of what is in the packages or pictures of their manufacturing setup. Coming and going isn't illegal. They could be working on getting an undercover to make a buy.

Do true libertarians believe in having an FDA or should we rely on free market and the court system to address medical device and pharma issues?
