Re: Please, don't take things for granted.

I thought I should refer to this as a ‘spiritual’ thread so as to not run afoul of the board rules. I do try to be a religious person, but lately, I've been angry, and not as ‘disciplined’ as one might expect from the Italian, Catholic, former alter boy, son of a Korean War Vet named Santo. I...

Please, don't take things for granted.

While I do not intend this to be a ‘religious’ thread, it is some what ‘spiritual’ in nature. By whatever name you want to call it, I believe there is something ‘After’. I have experienced several incidents like this, but I’d like to share this most recent. First a little history... Way back when, i...

Re: Taurus PT-638

I have one in stainless I bought at Academy. It is very close to the PT-138 except for the increased capacity and a sight change. I sold the PT-138 because it was a picky eater, but am so happy with the new one that it is now my preferred carry. Of twelve types of ammo I have tried, it likes all bu...

Wow, congrats! Which model??

Re: Do you have a right to know his name?

...you'd think the officers would be asking the shooter if he knew the guy...and his natural question of "What's his name?" would have been answered then... I'd concur with speedsix's scenario of the natural conversation, but I'll add that regardless if 'Dave' knew the BGs name, HE would....

I thought they already were "Asian". Wasn't the Ranger, as well as the Courier before it, re-branded Mazda?? Maybe I missed it, but was the plant in the story 'manufacturing' or 'assembling''?? :???:

Re: FFL in Bedford

Just wanted to post another kudos and Thanks for Jeff. :clapping: He lived up to my expectations from the other reviews here, and was especially helpful in this last minute scenario getting my new factory replacement in since repairs could not be made. Of course, being so close to the CompUSA, I had...

Re: Hit my limit...

I bet if you lost your card or it became compromised, folks would be mad at their bank if there were no limits on the card and the account was wiped clean. Most accounts have limits on daily transactions associated with debit cards. These limits are always disclosed when the account is established ...

Re: Hit my limit...

Well try this one on for size... Several months ago, I made 2 maximum ATM withdrawals on 2 consecutive days in preparation for the Frisco Gun Show. On the way to Frisco from FW, I stopped at another ATM. When I tried to make the withdrawal, I got the 'security notice' to call BoA. In the car, on the...

Re: Ruger sr40c

Congrats on the new toy. I guess Christmas came early. Having and enjoying the SR9C (as EDC) also, I was wondering if anyone saw a reason to also have the SR40?? Anyone experienced with both?? I have a couple 45s already, so would SR40 make any 'practical' sense or just add to the collection?? :big...

Not to pick nits, but... FYI to be clear, it's a 10 round mag so you may be counting the 10+1. The SR9C is my EDC and has been most excellent. If someone used to large frames is looking for something smaller this is a very good choice. The pinky extension really isn't an issue for concealment, (unle...

I'm confident that most all here are more than familiar with the Federalist papers, but if you're not familiar with the Anti-Federalists, you should check this link to West El Paso Information Network. http://www.wepin.com/articles/afp/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; A sobe...
