Re: Kimber Quality?
Some of them, perhaps. While ignorance doesn't mean stupidity, I still lay the bulk of the blame at Kimber's door. So, essentially, Kimber is like pre-bailout Chevy? They can make some good products, but since the consumers will buy it like hotcakes, they come out with the Avalanche instead? :biggr...

Re: Kimber Quality?
@AndyC: I have no comment on the finish, other than to say that (so far) none of our four Kimbers, ranging from a Poly Custom (not a II) up to a brand new Pro Carry II, have had finish issues. Not saying they can't/won't, but my Painted Ordnance shows far more wear, and has been carried/shot far les...

Uncle Sam is $18 trillion in debt. Facing huge unemployment numbers. Government computer data seems to be hacked every day. Billions of dollars squandered or misused by hundreds of federal departments. And they want to verify that WE can handle our finances responsibly? This is a joke, right? Sadly...

Re: Kimber Quality?
I just "acquired" (won) a Pro Carry II a few days ago and took it out today. No problems or issues whatsoever. Granted, most of our .45 shooting was done with the wife's Thomspon today, so we didn't put a punishing round count through the Pro Carry, but I liked it. I think a lot of the sup...

Re: Taurus "The Judge"
As a self-defense tool, load it with .45 Colt slugs. Shotgun powder burns at a different rate than pistol powder, and you will NOT get the advertised velocity, and thus power, out of a handgun-length barrel. Loading the shotshells with a faster-burning powder would probably work to alleviate this pr...

If she hung herself in police custody, the only liability the cops have is in that they did not deny her the tools to do so. There's a reason things like shoelaces, belts, and hooded-sweatshirt drawstrings are frequently confiscated before putting people in a holding cell. That being said... if one ...

But I don't carry a 5-shot revolver, I carry a 6+1 Glock 9mm, so I'm good, right?
Home defense is either 8 rounds of buckshot or 30 rounds of Speer Gold Dot 64g .223, so moot point as well.

Re: Lott - Concealed Carry Permit Holders Across US
:confused5 I see no mention of the Hispanic legal citizens on the chart. I wonder why? Maybe hispanics are considered white for the purposes of this statistic? Form 4473 asks TWO questions about race/ethnicity: To my knowledge, Hispanic is an ethnicity, not a race. For example I have a friend from ...

Question is, regardless of "in-store rules" about the beer, what are the premises as defined by the license, and do they really earn 51% or more from the sale of alcohol for on-premises consumption. If the liquor license is for the entire store, and they sell enough to hit the 51% mark, th...

Any HK is a lovely pistol. :???: My duty weapon is an HK, with the LEM trigger. I hate it. Gimme a Glock instead, but I don't have that option. if its normal LEM that pulls going to be hard, if its "light" lem it's the SA trigger pull every time but more takeup. the heavy DA pull on HK is...

For Colt’s Native American suitors, it’s not just business; it’s history, interest and commitment, their attorney said. “We have gone to great lengths to get our hands on Colts,” he said. “Just ask General Custer.”

So long as you don't stray off the highways and onto tribal roads, you're fine. I have driven through to Colorado and back many times with a loaded weapon on my person.
