Re: NICS Firearm Background Check numbers for 2016

If you look on the FBI document posted on the sight mentioned by ELB, Kentucky shows 388 thousand and something checks. The second column says "permit rechecks", and they show "0". I would think legally someone could tear them a new one over that. It's a known fact that they rech...

Re: Buffalo WW disregards 2A?

Well, I guess everyone can have a good laugh on me. Sorry, I took it to heart and it got my blood boiling. Next time I hope someone will say April Fools or Astalaweegee or something. You have to take me with a pound of salt, not a grain. Thanks for giving me the heads up. :banghead:

Re: Buffalo WW disregards 2A?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you don't get to pick and choose which parts of the Constitution you honor and which ones you don't. There was a time when that place would be a pile of ashes smoking on the ground for statements like that. Those idiot liberals started yelling about enough is...

Re: .45 Colt Ammunition

My two cents worth ain't worth that much, but I'd like to chime in here. About three years ago one of my son-in-laws gave me a new model Ruger Blackhawk in 45LC. I had always wanted an old 45 revolver, but then you find out how expensive the shells are. When I can afford it, I plan on sending it to ...

Re: Critics blast Massachusetts city's new 'essay' rule for gun-carry applicants

I would think that some good 2A Lawyers would be jumping all over this situation. Am I missing something here? Didn't the SCOTUS say that states and cities could not come up with idiotic, way out rules for citizens to be able to get a LTC?

Re: First AR: Need input on a build

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I really appreciate the different tips on the twist ratio for barrels. I'm retiring at the end of February and I plan on having a friend of mine put together an AR for me, hopefully with me learning as much as possible. I really love this forum and thank you all for be...

Re: Unposted Blood Donation?

Don't ask, don't tell, that's how I feel in this situation. I've been a blood donor since back in the 70's after I got out of the Navy. I started giving plateletes about ten years ago with a little prodding from the ladies at the center. It used to be Stewart Blood center in Longview for years. Anyw...

Re: aljazeera america shutting down

I don't even like to slow down scrolling by it when I'm checking the guide for something to watch. It's as bad as having to look at Pelosi, Reed, or Bloom-whatshisface. I'd rather watch a Preparation H commercial.

Re: First AR: Need input on a build

I'd like to ask a quick question if you all don't mind? I'm not real saavy on barrel twist rates. For a 5.56 barrel of 16" length, what do you think is the best twist rate? I've heard some are better for different things and I see they offer 1-7, 1-8, and 1-9. Excuse the limited knowledge I hav...

Re: Rule 4 Reminder

When we were kids, how many times did we hear, "if everyone else jumps off the roof, are you going to?" There comes a time when we need to use the brain that God gave us and try to make wise decisions. I'll be the first to admit that I fall real short in this area. We've got to keep our wi...

Re: Someone placing 30.07 signs in front of businesses...

One thing I noticed about the sign in the picture, is that it's mounted on a wire stand. This is not advertising a "Yard Sale". They would have to stick this thing in the ground and I don't think anyone wanting to legally keep us out would want signs that could be grabbed up by any passerb...
