Since any amendment must be ratified by 3/4 of the states, it seems to me that this risk is minor, but maybe I'm missing something. Meanwhile, the constitution is being subverted every day without any of us having a say at all.You might not like the results of an article V convention. The tide can turn the other way too. You are not guaranteed that every proposed amendment would be to your liking. Be careful of what you wish for.
This is the bigger issue for me. I think of the 10th amendment as an example of one that is completely ignored. It seems like we need an amendment that compels us to abide by the constitution! Silly.Even with a convention, and if proposed amendments are confirmed by the states, the only way to enforce the constitution is the same way we have already. Think about it.
