Trump sort of uninvites women’s soccer team.

Apparently none wanted to come anyway.

New York Times snags Trump’s old tax returns.

Apparently during a time when he was losing a lot of money.

Are there laws against possessing a person’s tax returns without their permission?
NYT from 1995. They knew all of this. There is nothing new.

Trump may have just sealed the Jewish vote in 2020.
The cognitive dissonance many left-leaning US Jews are feeling must be dizzying.

I predict Warren will not be President in 2020.
When one is not likable, one does not get a pass on trash talk. Not knowing this exposes her ignorance. She is not likable, she is a cheater and a liar (redundant?), and she needs to go away for her own benefit. But I hope she does not, because this circus is becoming very entertaining. There will soon be too many democrat dumpster fires to keep up with.

Sullivan it seems is an idiot. There was a lot of misplaced hope because he brought the hammer down on corrupt prosecutors before (Senator Ted Stevens).

General Flynn will not spend one second behind bars. There is a judge who is in deep trouble. Another judge is very angry. The first is Contreras, the second is Sullivan.

If you disagree, I'll wager $100. This is not against forum rules, although I'm sure it will be soon.
Case will be thrown out, and others will go down. Maybe even Mueller.

https://quodverum.com/2018/12/346/gener ... y-one.html

No more bets.
The Mueller plea deal with General Flynn, filed on 1 December, 2017, is explicit : it says that on 24 January 2017, Flynn lied to the FBI (Strzok) by saying that he had not talked with Ambassador Kislyak about possible sanctions relief, when in fact he had.

However, there is a complication. Prior to 1 December, 2017, Strzok and the other FBI agent had said the opposite - that Flynn had told them the truth. Even James Comey has admitted the same, to Congress. In other words, the General was open with the FBI that he had been communicating with Kislyak about possible sanctions relief, a normal and legal act by an NSA for an incoming administration.

So how does General Flynn telling the truth on 24 January, 2017 become him lying to the FBI on 1 December, 2017? Simple : the ‘facts’ underlying the communications were changed.

Someone, almost certainly Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok, re-wrote the original late January 2017 FD 302, to falsely portray General Flynn as saying that he had not spoken with ambassador Kislyak. When was the 302 altered? Footnote 23 (my bold) of last night’s memorandum provides the answer:

You really need to get out more.
We have begun to see pockets of massive vote fraud, in CA, NC, FL. LBJ had nothing on these guys. And if there's fraud on the R side, convict them first. The D:R fraud ratio is in the 1000:1 area, but I don't care where the cleanup gets started. If voting can't be trusted, there is nothing left of the country.

And that sums up what's wrong with the silent GOP who have acquiesced and enabled the amoral activities of the current administration. If the story doesn't fit your preconceived narrative you just don't want to be bored with anything more than what you already believe to be true. To borrow from above:
Bottom line, what tRump says for the next two years became a lot less important after the midterms. It seems that votes do matter, and apparently our president seems agitated he may not get his way any longer.
And you address none of the points. I won.
A bunch of conclusory statements without any underlying reasoning or supporting facts is not a making a point. When you make a point I'll be sure to respond. Until you can do that, "I'm not interested."
OK. How about a question? Do you believe that the new Acting AG will be friendly to the #SpyGate conspirators? Multiple choice: Brennan, Comey, Yates, Clinton, Obama, Page, Strzok, McCabe, Clapper, Ohr1, Ohr2, Power. That's enough for now.

Trump and his surrogates have repeatedly sought to delegitimize the special counsel’s investigation by saying there was “no collusion” and calling the special counsel’s probe a “witch hunt.” By focusing on the word "collusion" one might miss the fact that the convictions of trumps former associates and indictments of more than 2 dozen russians has instead relied on statutes containing words such as “conspiracy,” “obstruction of justice” and making “false statements.”
The indicted Russians are irrelevant and a joke.

Indicting Russians almost got Mueller in trouble when *) One org responded, and did not exist at the time, and *) One org responded and demanded discovery. Oops. This may still bode ill for him.

General Flynn will not spend one second in prison.

Papadopoulus is withdrawing his guilty plea, and is about to blow those behind the fake dossier apart.

Manafort's in the news about something, but I'm not interested. Something about causing Mueller more problems, even after pleading guilty to the first set of charges totally unrelated to muh Russia, for leniency in the next set of charges, or something like that. The judge is not happy with Mueller.

New Acting AG will be very busy. The SpyGate investigations are complete, now the indictments proceed.

Big day for Trump and his agenda.

Big day for The Anti Trump movement and their agenda.

Voting machines malfunction all over the country.

Mine “seemed” fine.

But I prefer punch cards to electronic magic.
We have to converge on a system where you can verify your vote after the fact. The terminal does not have to be electronic - better if it's not. The back end process cannot be trusted anymore - if it ever could.

Re: Today in Trump's new term as President

The president’s proclivity to twist data and fabricate stories is on full display at his rallies. He has his greatest hits: 120 times he had falsely said he passed the biggest tax cut in history, 80 times he has asserted that the U.S. economy today is the best in history and 74 times he has falsely said his border wall is already being built. (Congress has allocated only $1.6 billion for fencing, but Trump also frequently mentioned additional funding that has not yet been appropriated.)
In the first example, the author assumes the definition of "biggest", a very imprecise word, and then says that the recent tax cuts are not the "biggest". Almost every one of wapo's "lies" is like this. No need to go on.
