Re: S&W 340pd. Airlite 357 mag

Thanks for the kind words TAM, I've put enough through it to be comfortable and can honestly say the 158 Winchester st are a bit more accurate than the 125 hornady. That being said - I have it stoked with 125s right now. It certainly speaks with authority but anyone with any reasonable handgun exper...

Re: S&W 340pd. Airlite 357 mag

It's a handful.
But there's something nice about dropping a 'full power' handgun in the pocket of your gym shorts or scrubs and not worrying about a belt.
For reference an iPad mini weighs more than this thing.

Fixed it.
Had to edit it several times, it kept cutting text off - it's been a techno-illogical Monday part deux today.

S&W 340pd. Airlite 357 mag

11.8 ounces of pocket sized terror. One of the lightest 357 magnum revolvers on the market - in excellent condition, includes case and all factory goodies. I just found the hammered version, so this centennial version is no longer in the rotation. Would really prefer trades - especially motorcycles....

Re: 308 bolt gun or 308 AR

I am a bit biased, not being a fan of the ar platform- that being said, the ruger precision is a bolt action with the ergonomics and customizability of an AR with excellent out of the box accuracy. The gen 2 is down to 899 from cdnn and others . When your ready to move up to a serious semi-auto; loo...

Re: In n Out Burger VS Whataburger

WAITaburger is my go to drive thru , of I've got time to sit and enjoy - Heff's has the market cornered inbthoos part of the country. Bucket burger, grilled peppers and onions, big hunk of perfect beef, on a fresh onion bun. Side of onion rings with Heff's sauce and a blue bell shake.

Re: HB435 Volunteer Emergency Svces Carrying

While I have yet to hear of a test case, the opportunity is there. It was a relief to me knowing it was there a few weeks ago, as I carried an ekg and jump bag past a very legal 06/07 pair on private property. Prior to 435 I had already decided for myself that duty to act was more pertinent than a m...

Re: TIP: Gun cleaning indoors

For severe plastic fouling I have had good luck with a mop of kroil, then come back in half an hour and use a bronze brush. The kroil gets under everything.

Re: Optic Zero

Some of the higher end QD mount systems do maintain a high degree of repeatability, with 1-2 moa however you must still zero it traditionally the first time.

Re: TIP: Gun cleaning indoors

Just fyi. Instead of puppy pads, check a medical supply store for chucks pads (incontinence pads). I get them by the case for my handicapped son, then borrow a few for cleaning. They are cheaper from local med supply cash than through insurance delivery with copays. Case of 100 is less than20 bucks

Re: Frankford Perfect Seat Hand Primer

Both Wilson and Harrell have had similar tools, marketed towards the benchrest crowd, for a number of years. I've got a couple collecting dust right now. If Lee had incorporated their feed tray - it would be ideal. My issue with the single shots has always been having to handle the primer (unless I'...

Re: Medical accessories

I carry a CAT on my belt along with a benchmade lifehook (try one - you can cut rings around shears). I have a very well stocked jump bag in each of my vehicles courtesy of my fire dept so I am never far from all the good stuff. When renting a car or road tripping with someone else, I throw an IFAK ...

Re: On Being Willing to Apply Violence (by Hsoi)

A personal favorite "Anyone who clings to the historically untrue and thoroughly immoral doctrine that violence never settles anything I would advise to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The ghost of Hitler could referee and the jury might...
