Its not just the direct A/C field.
Since I left welding and went back into apartment maintenance - we are feeling the pinch.I have hired and fired a half a dozen guys, just this year, that had 608's but couldnt tell a condenser from condensed milk.
For us, our hands have to know a little plumbing, a little electrical, a little carpentry, etc. They have to absolutely know hvac - no if's and's or but's about it. THe few that do have a clue just want to replace, not repair. Tech school/vocational is all good and well, but there is more to this than just go buy a new one.
