Re: Good EDC belt??

I've used Tucker Gunleather belts for a few years. They hold up well & last a really long time. My issue is that since I started carrying, I've added quite a few pounds and then recently lost that & then some. So I've given away my fatboy Tucker & got 2 Blade-Tech Ultimate Carry belts (w...

Re: Shortest gun range visit ever

Yes, the guy committed some egregious errors. And quick action by the RSO most likely prevented a tragedy. But I'm a bit confused by all of the 'ban that guy' talk. Once things have settled down, I'd explain to him exactly what he did wrong and try to help him get better. He's obviously excited abou...

Re: I Want to Build A Rifle.

I've just finished my first AR build. And despite the hard time I had with the bolt catch roll pin, it won't be my last. It was definitely a much easier process (except for the bolt catch) than I expected. Here's some of what I figured out along the way: Lower - You don't have to spend a ton of mone...

There are ceramic knives that don't contain any metal.

"& the immediate reaction was less of a wait & see." O.K., then what was the reaction as I don't clearly understand your message. Would you please elaborate? Thanks. Posts on other sites ran along the lines of "maybe they'll slow down on their calls & mailings" and &...

I don't see your postulation.
I wasn't necessarily referring to people in this forum. I've seen reference to this "story" on other boards & the immediate reaction was less of a wait & see.

Re: 3 D Printed guns in the news

For as long as they're all up in arms about this, they won't be looking at anything of real consequence. So good on 'em for getting all worked up over what amounts be be pretty much nothing. Added bonus is that it gets added to the ever-growing list of "if this gets through, the streets will be...

Re: The NRA Says It’s in Deep Financial Trouble, May Be ‘Unable to Exist’

It's not surprising that the quoted publication would use lawsuit posturing as the basis for a hit-piece on their favorite boogeyman. What is really sad, though, is how folks on our side won't be able to see this for what it is & will be all to willing to pile on with their own form of NRA bashi...

Re: renewal time

I renewed in Oct 2016 online. Took about 2 weeks. Then we moved last June 2017 and I did a change of address - that one took about a week or so.

Re: Does Texas Have What It Takes To Do This?

Since federal law generally supersedes state law (especially with respect to firearms), I'd rather see our legislature spend the limited time and finite political capital to get something more worthwhile passed - like putting real teeth into fines for signs and LTC-everywhere.

Re: Full Armor Gun Range - Houston

Thanks for the info on this range. They're building a 2nd location near Bwy 8 & 288 (just down the road from where Primary Arms relocated to). I was hoping to make the new location a possible lunchtime routine visit, but now I'm not so sure.

Re: Concealed Carry Reciprocity is on the Move: Your Lawmakers Need to Hear from You NOW!

Anyone opposed to No. 2 is arguing that current law should not be enforced. Chas. Not trying to be flippant nor disrespectful, but why do we need a new law to make agencies comply with current law? Why not just enforce current laws? My problem with this attempt to "fix NICS" is the long l...

Re: Flat Nose 147 Grain 9mm

I like 147gr in my single-stack pocket 9s. The flat nose gives me a practice round comparable to the hollow-point defensive rounds that I carry. The American Eagle variant feeds like jhp and runs well.
