Re: A test for Anti-concealed carry

Psychological Projection is the most common psychological phenomenon in humans. Nearly every anti-gunner that I have ever know and had some sort of relationship with who says something about non-LEO carrying and either "snapping" or just shooting someone for no reason, that individual has had a tem...

Re: Ever Eaten Raw Beef?

More years ago than I care to remember, in college. I'd been living on rice and oatmeal for weeks. I finally got a little money and went an bought a couple of steaks. I was getting ready to cook them when suddenly I just grabbed one and started eating it raw. I hadn't planned to, but I just couldn't...

Re: Nobody but Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

It's not her, it's the people who elect her and those of her ilk. We're surrounded by 'em. That's the thing that astounds me. It's hard enough to believe even one or two people can be that idiotic. But how many did it take to elect her? I wouldn't have believed there could be that many. But I guess...

Re: Tumbleweeds discussion

Man. I hope you understand what an incredible experience you've offered us. Thank you. Darn, I'll miss it, but I wouldn't have missed it for the world. I've busted my butt trying to gain a small percentage of the loyalty you've garnered from our readers. And I'm supposed to be a pro. I just wish you...

Re: Tumbleweeds discussion

Sam Elliot would be my first pick now that his name has been thrown out there. I remembered thinking Lonesome Dove, and Tommy Lee Jones or Robert Duval would do a good job also.

Re: Tumbleweeds discussion

I think Sam Elliot for Ed Rawlings. I think BigGuy did a good job casting the characters but I'll go with you on Ed Rawlins . I would say Sam Elliot or possibly Clint Eastwood . I'm going to have to concede to y'all. Either of those would be great, but Sam Elliot couldn't be beat for that role.

Re: Tumbleweeds discussion

OK, I've got Danny Glover for Zeke. I'm thinking Kate Beckinsale for her, Ed Harris for Ed Rawlins, and Kathy Bates for Lucy.
Anybody got any ideas for Wade or the others?

Re: Tumbleweeds discussion

Can't wait for Ed to pop the question to Lucy. While I expect she'll accept, I'm sure there'll be some griping about settling for a "heathen!"

Re: Now We Have a Snow White Problem.

Maybe it's a good thing for folks like Philbo to come and post. I'd advise not responding with insults though. When I first came to this board, I was pretty liberal and (God forgive me) an Obama supporter. But as I stayed on this (and a couple of other boards) I fell prey to your dastardly logic, re...

Re: Tumbleweeds discussion

The Missus is reading Tumbleweeds now. She really likes the way you so accurately portray the difficulty a woman had in those times taking care of children. As a very young girl, my wife rode on a cotton sack, tied around her mother's waste as she picked cotton. You could get Paregoric back in those...
