Re: Open Carry Question

As an unarmed security guard I believe your best response to seeing someone headed for the front door with a rifle would be to lead everyone out a door on the opposite side of the building. Your city employer cares not one whit about security or your well being. Pretty well the conclusion I've co.e...

Re: Open Carry Question

Are you employed by the library or a private security company? Sounds like you are employed as a Level 2 security guard even though you have Level 3 license. I agree with Jusme...if you aren't allowed to carry your weapon find another security guard position. It's just too dangerous these days to b...

Re: Open Carry Question

To make matters even worse, the library is set up like a shooting gallery. It is set in in a semicircle with the only public entrance at one corner of the base. Shelving is set radially from the center so that staff can easily see all parts of the library. There is nothing to hide behind. The only o...

Open Carry Question

I’m presently the Security Officer at a public library. Being tax funded, we are have no signage. Unfortunately we are in a less than desirable part of town and before the Covid shutdown was, for all practical purposes, a defacto homeless shelter. In the time before I came, staff had gotten extremel...

Re: Protests - the next level?

I'd hate to be stuck in any vehicle in the middle of a crowd like that. I still remember the attack on Reginald Denny.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Attack_on_Reginald_Denny.

Help with novel.

I'm starting a new novel that will take place in a small town. I'm looking for somebody who might be interested in beta reading to help me get a small town police depart right. It will be several weeks before I start to write as I'm still doing research on other parts of the book. Also, has anybody ...

Re: Man Reels in Semi-Automatic Rfile

Reminds me of a story my dad told. He was a twenty years soldier, a Green Beret stationed 100 miles south of the Fulda gap during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and the assignation of President Kennedy. We got a lot of calls that he was “CQ.” Tom Clancy probably couldn’t write a story that matched his ac...

Re: Security Guard pulls Weapon on Deputy Sherrif in IRS building

Also:
"Gaston is currently on medical leave from the sheriff’s office. He and his wife are seeking compensation and filed a civil lawsuit against both Eklund and the security company for allegedly suffering emotional and psychological distress as well as lost wages."
Something smells fishy.

Re: Did the Russians affect your vote?

When you voted in the in the presidential election did the Russians affect your vote? Do you know anyone that even thought about the Russians when voting? What a bunch of crap! Yes, the Russians affected my presidential vote as well as all my other votes, both state and national. I spent my adult l...
