Re: Got an unsolicited debt card in the mail

I received one as well. It was from direct express, but it was my father's social security payment. Good thing I was able to get it direct deposited into his bank from now on instead.

Re: Termites

The termites found on the fence could also be what are sometimes call agriculture termites or grass termites. They don't actually do any damage to the wood, they just feed on dead grass or the dried surface of the wood. They don't actually burrow into it. Subterranean termites may not go away by tre...

Wish sells a solvent trap for about $30.00 in common thread types for handguns and rifles. Not hard to get a hold of the parts nowadays.

Re: Termites

I own a pest control business in Deep South Texas and the cost for treatment could vary greatly based on total linear feet of fence to be treated and materials used. I have yet to get paid to treat someone's fence in the last 30 years I've been doing business. Opinions vary greatly and treatment str...

Re: Corona Virus (COVID-19)( SARS-CoV-2) from China: Its going to be bad.

I'm starting to doubt the accuracy of the death count more and more every day. https://www.dailywire.com/news/pennsylvania-forced-to-remove-hundreds-of-deaths-from-coronavirus-death-count-after-coroners-raise-red-flags “I think in this country, we are taking a very liberal approach to mortality,” sh...

Re: Corona Virus (COVID-19)( SARS-CoV-2) from China: Its going to be bad.

https://www.aol.com/article/news/2020/04/17/wuhan-abruptly-increased-its-coronavirus-death-toll-to-50-higher-than-previously-reported/24012917/ I found this part of the article interesting: New York City, a major hotspot in a hard-hit state, revised its death toll on Tuesday, adding 3,700 deaths to...

When I go to the IRS website to update my bank account info I get an error that says we are unable to verify eligibility. It doesn't ask for any more information or promise to follow up with me.

Re: Kimber Ultra Carry II won’t cycle properly

I've purchased many 1911's with this problem. The first thing I always try is letting the mags sit fully loaded for about a week. I have a Nighthawk doing this same thing right now. Sometimes the spring tension in the magazines is too stiff. If you try another mag, make sure you check the shape arou...

Re: Shoot Smart Ammo Selling Policy

I went to my local range today. Shelves are usually chock full of guns and ammo. Shelves were more than half empty of almost everything. Hunting shotguns were still plentiful. Ammo shelf was also practically empty of all types of range ammo. They said Academy is cleaned out and people on Facebook he...

Called out by security at appraisal district.

I had some business at the appraisal district and knew they were no longer posted. I usually carry owb with a loose untucked shirt and I must not have been very careful. As soon as I sat down the security guard came over and quietly asked if I had a gun. I confirmed I did and he asked me if I had a ...

Re: Winchester Gun Safe not working

Did you try putting a new battery? Has to be one that still has a few years left on expiration date and either Duracell or energizer. I had a similar issue and tried several other "new" batteries from other brands and couldn't get safe to open. Brand new Duracell fixed problem right away.

Re: Great deal for new gun

I own one and was a bit disappointed to find out that the frame was not metal. However, once I took it to the range I really enjoyed shooting it. I have not had any problems with it whatsoever, but have read about the many issues that others have had. Turns out it may have been a bad magazine design...

I voted for the CCU but would also recommend looking at Dan Wesson's. There are a few in the same price range as the CCU.
