Re: Contact with Tool PD

I live just south of Tool and it is a notorious speed trap. You can tell the locals from the non-locals by the way they drive. The last time I got pulled over was several years ago in Tool. I was heading south on 274 on cruise control doing 55 MPH and he lit me up in front of the grade school so I turned right on the next road and stopped. I handed him my DL, LTC and insurance documents. He said he did not need the LTC and handed it back. He went back to his car and then came back and asked if I knew why I was being pulled over. I said I have no idea. He said your license plate light was not bright enough (the truck was 5 years old). I said show me. I got out and looked at it and it was just fine. He said you may want to get that looked at and I said sure. No ticket was issued. The bottom line is he was just fishing for alcohol or drug use and used that as his excuse to pull me over. Another incident occurred when I was coming home from a late night flight. It was about midnight when a vehicle come upon me at a high rate of speed and tailgated me from the grade school to the spillway. He was so close I couldn't see his headlights. I almost brake checked him. It was not until he did a 180 at the spillway did I see his light bar. I have talked to others that have had this same thing happen to them by the Tool police. For you folks coming through Tool you may want to mind your P's and Q's because Mr. Tool is waiting for you and your money.
