Re: California bar shooting leaves 12 dead
I really don't understand the logic behind the no guns in a bar situation. If you have a LTC and are trusted to not drink and carry why would you not be trusted to go into a bar with friends and have a non-alcoholic beverage or be in a restaurant-bar situation for a nice meal? After all, if you were going to use alcohol you could use it any time anyway. Can LEO go into a bar and not drink? Of course logic and legislation don't always go together and to be honest, I am a non-drinker but I would go to a bar with friends and carry if I could without using alcohol. Same for concealed carry at a voting booth. Why would a LTC carrier all of a sudden be a danger at a voting booth? How many people ever get to be near an execution?

The dems have a few months to go to try to pass laws, Jan 3. Between now and then who knows what will come out. I don't look for much in the next two years. We didn't get reciprocity or silencers with our republicans, we sure won't with our dems.bblhd672 wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 1:15 pmNor do they consider the snowball in Mohave Desert's chance to see additional gun control passed by the Republican majority Senate.canvasbck wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 10:49 am The dems are already planning on using this shooting along with their newly acquired majority in the House to push for gun control.

They aren't letting little things like the location of the shooting already having the laws in place that they will push for stand in their way.
House Democrats can pass all the new bills they desire, none will likely pass the Senate nor the President's desk.
