Re: “Universal” Background Checks Aren’t as Universally Popular as You’ve Been Led to Believe

I am finding that people who do not own guns think there is presently no background check for most people buying one. The dumb struck look they get when they are told there already is a background check is why I believe this. The Dems have made much of the fairy tail "gun show loophole". It has giv...

Re: Five Officers Shot In Philadelphia

The "suspect" is a long-time criminal with multiple convictions for drug dealing and weapons charges, along with a very long list of other crimes. The mass news media will spin what they can for a bit, then drop this one like a hot potato.

Re: WTS: LNIB Ruger AR 556

As of this writing, new semi-automatic versions of the Thompson are for sale. Made by Auto Ordnance, a subdivision of Kahr Arms.

On another note, good luck on your sale. That seems like a reasonable price, 100 rounds through an AR is nothing, and Ruger makes firearms that last.

Re: Lots of people buying guns/ammo at the border.

... In regards to the statement I highlighted in red, I thought I read (maybe on this forum) that El Paso has a rather low percentage of LTC holders compared to the population there. I don't know where to find that information to verify or debunk that, just going off of what I read. I did some anal...

Re: Lots of people buying guns/ammo at the border.

This may be a good thing sort of right? The left claims the immigrant/hispanic/non-american crowd is under attack from all sides. Surely they wouldn't disarm the people they care about most...right? Or atleast not throw them in jail over some outrageous gun law. I feel this is one of the ironies of...

Re: Sen. Graham announces red flag legislation

Anybody who votes for a "red flag" politician deserves to reap what they sow. In abundance. :patriot: Sure, that's why everyone should just vote for the most socialist of the Democrats instead. :grumble EDITED TO ADD: And no, I do NOT like "red flag" laws, I do NOT think they will be useful ...

https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9685741/walmart-springfield-missouri-man-assault-weapon-el-paso/ Being refered to as a gun nut. It still doesn't mention his real intentions. And there is the problem. Technically he did nothing wrong except maybe if the da wants to charge him with disturbing the peace...

Re: Are we de facto in more danger from Republicans than Democrats in regard to 2nd Amendment?

I like to think of it more in in the terms of "Lesser of two evils" I get that. But that argument, over the years, has really shown to be a non-solution. Lesser of two evils is still an evil. With the Democrats our guard is always up and they get nowhere, with Republicans we trust them to a fault a...

Re: Lots of people buying guns/ammo at the border.

This came from a few of the people around me at the gun counter and cashier. One said after the El Paso shooting they have to watch out. Another said Trump was sending the Klan to get Mexicans. Another said she just didn't want to be the only one without a gun. I feel bad, these people are honestly...

Re: Attorney Andrew Branca Discusses MO Walmart Incident

Even if we were to give Andreychenko the benefit of the doubt and assume that his intent in “shopping” at Walmart armed with a rifle and wearing body armor, days after a mass shooting at another Walmart under similar circumstances, was 100% well-intentioned, defending this conduct on Second Amendme...

Re: Attorney Andrew Branca Discusses MO Walmart Incident

Is the phrase "in a manner calculated to alarm" still in Texas law? Because if it is, and that incident had happened in Texas, I believe it would have met that standard.

Re: Universal Background Checks: An American Fantasy

Andy, I understand you posted it for future reference, but I've thought about this stuff many times. I've pointed out that there are nowhere near enough LEOs, particularly Federal LEOs, to remotely enforce something of that nature, even if they were all dedicated just to that task. It's not a matter...

From dog catcher to the presidency, it's going to be hard to vote for any Republican candidate in the future. EDITED TO FIX TYPO So, you're going to vote Democrat, then? Or just stay home and not vote, to protest? So that one of those purely anti-American Democrats can get into office? That's not a...

Re: Dayton, OH Active Shooter

So, both of the killers were wearing ear-pro? Never seen that one before, and now two mass killings in the same day with an identical feature not seen before? Oh, wait, just a coincidence, right?
