Re: Road Rage in Willis; LTC involved

I saw the news about this and I happen to live 2 miles from this intersection. Pretty scary stuff. But man the LTC holder was definitely out of line. How do we know the LTC-holder actually did that? Maybe the other vehicle really did cut him off and almost cause him to crash. Maybe he shook his fis...

Re: MN: Self defense shooting trial built on gun control bumper sticker

All of this really boils down to one thing: "the state" (political entity) really does NOT like an individual being able to defend his or her self. That collectivist mindset wants you to be dependent upon "the state" for your existence because that will garner them more power. The more collectivist ...

Re: FL: Two CHL’s kill each other in what may have started as mistaken road rage

Two incidents that happened to me between 12/1999 and 04/2006, both during my regular commute home from work. I don’t remember which one happened first. One could suggest that I should have taken a different route to and from work, and I could have done that, but it would have tripled the time and ...

Being that they were both licensed to carry, that would be considered an extremely rare, if tragic event.

Re: Ask Amy...

Hollowpoints explode ? Since when? And though I'm not an "old guy" quite yet, I'm certainly no spring chicken, either. Is it just sheer luck that I haven't died from owning firearms for decades now? And then there is blindly believing that the number of households which own firearms has gone down, i...

Re: Trump: Banning Suppressors?

As you said, there’s only one reason suppressors are considered “unusual” in the United States, the 1934 NFA. Which was supported by the NRA. What do you mean the NRA supported the NFA? Chas. I’m repeating what was printed on pages 22 and 23 of NRA’s American Rifleman magazine, March 1968 edition. ...

Re: Bonnen must go

I attended a meeting last night which featured, as speakers, three member of the Texas Legislature - 2 House members and a senator. I would judge them all to be men of integrity and applaud their courage for coming before what I will characterize as somewhat hostile but restrained audience. They we...

Re: Kay Jewelers store manager no longer employed after keeping on-duty deputy from picking up ring

While I find it quite ignorant of the manager to keep the deputy out, I wouldn't do business with Kay even after said manager had her employment terminated. Seems that, according to the 30.06 site, Kay's likes to post their businesses to keep LTCers out...well, I'll certainly follow the law, and sta...

Re: Deadly force to protect livestock?

Can someone tell me if it is LEGAL (I don't mean would you) shoot to protect livestock from being killed by a human being? I read a story about someone gut-shooting several miniature donkies in Mississippi, and I wasn't sure how Texas law covers that. Seems pretty heinous to kill animals that way, ...

Re: Trump: Banning Suppressors?

President Trump is a businessman and NOT a knowledgeable guy when it comes to firearms. I believe that he is getting advice from those that are either ignorant on the subject, or are flat out lying to him. I wish those who are knowledgeable and in a position to converse with him would do a better jo...

Re: Governor signs bill banning red light cameras in Texas

Well, even if a couple of cities still have them, it won't last forever. Glad to see no others will be able to put them up. They may have generated revenue for cities, but I think they created more danger than they ever prevented.

I only scored a 9.5. So, am I a "right wing extremist" or not?
