Re: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick attacks NRA and Supports expanded background checks

Francis said what the whole Democratic Party wants to do. Take all Ar15’s and AK 47’s. The problem is they will not stop there. Yes, sir, that is exactly correct. The British were effectively disarmed via incrementalism. They didn't have the history of an armed populace whose existence stemmed from...

Re: Attorney Andrew Branca: WRONG: “You just need to be able to articulate self-defense!”

IANAL and this is not legal advice: the issue is not what you think you need to do to defend yourself. The issue is whether or not your actions in the totality of circumstance met the legal standard to use justifiable deadly force as a LEGAL DEFENSE TO PROSECUTION - and you need to be able to artic...

Re: Attorney Andrew Branca: WRONG: “You just need to be able to articulate self-defense!”

I'll say what I said before on this topic. I cannot afford a high-priced lawyer to defend me against a DA who only cares about putting check marks in the "win column". But I'm still going to do what I have to do to defend my family, even if said DA and the legal system care more about actual crimina...

Re: Obama sent 30,000 truckloads of weapons to Syrian terrorists

I find it more than coincidental that ISIS was reduced in numbers and territory so quickly after Obama was out of office.

Re: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick attacks NRA and Supports expanded background checks

Sounds like way too many folks messing around, one way or another. It's going to end up with Texas turning into California East, and I'm going to be forced to pull back across the Red River and live with them Okies. :grumble

EDITED TO ADD:

And if I do, I'm going to tell everyone I'm a refugee!

Re: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick attacks NRA and Supports expanded background checks

Problems, with this, lying on a form 4473 is a felony yet few are prosecuted If you have to take your gun sale to a licensed dealer what's to stop the dealer from taking an exorbant amount as his fee? What about people who don't happen to live near a dealer? That right there, in red. All those laws,...

Re: Walmart has fallen!

I have already found less expensive items at Dollar General and Brookshire's, and they taste better, too. Not to mention that both these stores are less crowded and more friendly and helpful to customers. I'm well on my way to never going inside Walmart again. My main concern is not the banning of ...

Re: Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick attacks NRA and Supports expanded background checks

Well, Dan Patrick has lost my vote. Well, the time for us to vote against him is in the primary. If Dan Patrick is this bad, what do you think the Democrat who will run against him will want to do? Keep in mind people like Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Corey Booker, Pete Buttigie...

Re: Houston man becomes 1st person known to be charged after Trump administration's bump stock ban

Oh come on already. These mass news media clowns are more than sickening. They'll grab at any straw to make gun control seem like a good thing. I mean, I thought it was supposed to be us "knuckle-dragging flyover country deplorable NRA members" out here in the sticks, with our redneck ways, that wer...

Re: Gov. Abbott Issues Executive Orders

I will withhold comment on the specific Exec. Orders, but I will say this much. The iWatch Suspicious Activities Reporting Network needs to be revamped to require that reporting person to provide their name and contact information. This information should be immediately verified and if this is not ...

Re: What would YOU do?

Call an air strike? AC-130 maybe? Or maybe a “bazooka”. A light antitank weapon is not a firearm, it’s a destructive device under the 1968 update of the 1934 NFA. They are hard to get, but you could legally carry past a 30.06/7 sign. The US M72 LAW is nice but has the disadvantage of being single u...

Re: Would you support this gun private purchase restriction

When the constitution is changed then we can go with your suggestions, until then it violates our rights (and common sense). Your suggestions seem to show that you don’t fully understand the underlying issue and I don’t think it will make a dent in lowering gun crime. More laws will not stop the pr...

Re: Had a few rounds explode in my Ruger SR22 pistol.

Ruger customer service needs to know about that. Doesn't Ruger customer service recommend against hypervelocity ammunition? Though the OP got the problem fixed, I wanted to post this for anyone who might search this forum and think that the SR22 can't handle hypervelocity ammuntion. Here is the inf...

Re: Would you support this gun private purchase restriction

So my grandfather would need to get these letters to pass on his guns to me? If I die this afternoon, and did not have the forethought to get these letters in advance of dying in a car accident..my firearms can not be transferred to my wife and sons? If I stay as grumpy as I am today, it is likely ...

Well, I'll say one thing. This topic sure has brought out the "let's be reasonable and sell out our rights" trolls.
