Re: Auto theft discourager

I’d be worried about the residual irritants left in my vehicle afterwards. Invest in a solid car alarm not one of those cheap ones…. I would rather deal with cleaning up the car I still have than going through all the time and thousands of dollars in expense in replacing one that was stolen. The ca...

Auto theft discourager

Long, long ago (1990s) there were ads in shotgun news for tear gas dispensers that could be electrically activated to encourage anyone breaking into your car and tripping your car alarm or breaking into your house and tripping your house alarm to vacate the car or house. I such a thing still possibl...

Re: Government shutdown

FWIW, this president will not be closing the Smithsonian, or blocking off national monuments during the shutdown. So there's that. What a farce that was... grandstanding to make it as inconvenient as possible on the public.... Can we please send all th3 non essential federal employees home, and let...

Re: FS-S&W Chiefs Special - Sugar Land

If you like .45s, you should give this lil gem a look see... I daily carried one of these for years... very natural point and click for me, very comfy to shoot, those fat Hogue grips really soak up the recoil... so some yeas ago I went to the dark side and changed to striker fired plastic wonders......

Re: HB 497 - Add Types and Uses of Ammunition to Required LTC Course Curriculum

It is the lack of specificity that bothers me... is this an education requirement and if so what is the text of said education or is it a limitation of what can be used to qualify? Thank you

Why a handgun is your last line of defense

See this video https://www.facebook.com/WSYXABC6/videos/10160093961445215/ Note that the perp absorbs 5 or 6 rounds from a 38 or 357 and a 380 or 9 mm and doesn’t even slow down... What is that quote? The only reason you should be in a gun fight with a handgun is to fight your way back to the rifle ...

Robbie D

I don’t do this kind of thing, but my brother in law, Robbie D, USMC 1971 to 1973, is on hospice service due to an untreatable brain cancer. Tough as he is, he is expected to cross over in the next few days. For those that are into asking the Lord for such things, if a room with a view of the water,...

Re: Are stats on licenses by zip available?

The data here is a couple of years old, but the map is easy to use. About halfway down the article is an interactive map. Blow it up and look for your zip code. This probably won't work too well on a phone. https://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local/article/Open-carry-texas-gun-map-CHL-ZIP-6777817.php...
