Out in this part of the world, 911 is not the best option. More than once they have gotten lost getting to the ranch. Takes them about 45 minutes when call is placed. That's the reason I said what I did earlier. I can pass by several friends on the way in. Stop and let one of them drive. Can sure beat that time.

If I happened to get bit I would listen to my own self first. Call a buddy en route so he can either follow me or see that I get there. 20 miles to town and hospital is first building on the left!!

Growing up in the South Texas brush country, one thing you always did was keep at least one eye open for rattlers. Knock on wood I have never been bit but have had them hang up in my shirt cuff, :shock: pull strap of my boots, and chaps. It gets your attention real quick.

I was wondering if anyone has heard from this fellow. I would almost be willing to bet train riding money he had a problem with the bite.
