Re: .25 caliber
What's that quote I saw the other day? Something about "...If I you ever shoot someobody with that thing, and they find out about it, they are going to be pretty ticked off!" I Looooove that quote! It's a Cooperism (Col. Jeff Cooper, Commentaries, Vol. 4 #14): "As we used to teach in...

Charles, Nice camera. llwatson has it right, proper framing and wallet-size printing is the win. Your lens (and/and the size of the subject's head) determines the exact distance, but you should stand between 4 and 6 feet away from the subject, no zoom, neutral/bright lighting. Make sure you photogra...

WhooHoo!
Hey! And I just got my IDPA card in the mail (with a nice cap to boot) I'm definitely looking forward to the match! This will be my first time out (NOOB!), so I'm definitely going to keep my eyes open, watch and learn (Heck, I might even shoot!) Do you think it would help if I came out early...

Brownells has *Excellent* service
I recently purchased a set of Agrips (p/n 100-000-531) from Brownells for a H&K USP .45. Had them mailed parcel post, and when they arrived the grips were missing. Mind you, the package had not been opened and the packaging for the grips was there -- the only thing missing were the grips themsel...

Reminds me of a Cooperism (Col. Jeff Cooper's Commentaries, Vol. 4 No. 14): As we used to teach in the spook business, carry a 25 if it makes you feel good, but do not ever load it. If you load it you may shoot it. If you shoot it you may hit somebody, and if you hit somebody - and he finds out abou...

I'm by no means an expert at this, but I carry a 92fs (M9 model) on a daily basis, and practice with it at least weekly. It's a large pistol, but conceals with the right holster. It's not light duty w/15 rounds, and I'll admit it's sometimes a relief to take it off at the end of the day. That said, ...

Don't think so. Dennis Miller (comedian) has a website, radio show, is often on T.V. and lives in California. I can't imagine he'd choose to write a letter to the editor in the Abilene Reporter News to get this message out. No offense to Abilene. I wonder if this is the same Dennis Miller wh...

If he's not planning on growing another foot real soon, then he needs to get it fixed. You know, if he grows another foot real soon, he'll have a leg up on the rest of us! <crickets chirping> I know, I know, I shouldn't judge until I walk a mile in his (3rd) shoe. ;-) Uhh..<tap tap>....
