Re: Strong side carry results in opposite side soreness

Not knowing your body shape its hard to say. I am a little plump (okay, fat  ) and had the same issues but more in my hip area and it didn't matter if I carried IWB or OWB. Bought a new gun belt and it helped some but not completely. Then I started wearing suspenders and it eliminated the pain.

I own several and rotate them in and out of my EDC. I also carry at least 3 if not 4 spare mags. That helps to balance out this chubby body
I'm assuming your talking about the guns chubby frame, right? :tiphat:
Okay, I'll go with that

Re: Hearing aid suggestions for my father.

I agree with the statement that hearing aids are not a one-size-fits-all solution. I tried several brands/types and they all failed for me the same way. Each provider told me that my hearing isn't bad enough yet for me to tolerate what their products did to me, not for me, and that I would be back ...

Re: Recommendations for starter rifle for daughter

My dad bought my first deer rifle which was a Remington Model 70 in .243. That was Christmas of 1963 and I was eight years old. I dropped many a deer with that rifle and still have it. Funny story, we had gone hunting together around 1970. Dad would always leave the camp for his blind earlier that I...

Re: Covid and 51%

I am not sure how the restaurant I go to was allowed to open in Irving. Irving has a 50% food to alcohol code requirement for restaurant/bar to get their CO. However, before this happened, TABC had them listed as 51%.

Re: Covid and 51%

Are they allowed to make that determination at their own discretion? I thought the sign color was based on what they report to TABC. When a business renews their license with the TABC, they must declare if they are 51% or not based on the income source. I will bet that is what they had to do and si...

Covid and 51%

Found a good issue with the current rules on Covid. A little sports grille that I like to eat at unfortunately had to post 51% signs at the end of last year. With the new rules for bars/restaurants, they now are less than 51% alcohol sales and they have changed their license for restaurant service w...

Re: Survival Prepping

After having lived through several Hurricanes and tropical storms, as well as local tornadoes, my wife is scared of a thunderstorm watch. Thats why we movedto the DFW area in 96. With that said, we remodeled our house in 03 and installed a storm cellar that can be accessed from inside the house. It ...

Re: Scored a 99

Well won one at least  . Years past my mom gave me her Savage model 99. It was a gift to her from her dad in 1964. She gave it to me in 70 when my 30-30 started having issues and she didn’t really enjoy hunting. Even when I moved to Houston in 73, Dad and I would get together every year an...
