Re: Carrying on someones private property

I cannot seem to locate an answer to this question in the statutes, unless by private property you mean a business. I was wondering if it would be legal to carry at someones residence without their permission. Had an instance the other day where someone that was invited over to a friends house (on ...

Re: TX: brass knuckles, kitty keychain etc ban lifted...

If the law is not vetoed by Governor Abbot, it will into effect September 1, 2019. Until then knuckles and clubs remain illegal.

Re: Fort Worth Zoo vs. Texas State Fair

In regards to the title of "Amusement Park" I did a generic Google search "Amusement Parks in North Texas. As you can guess, several parks came up, but oddly enough, neither of the DFW zoos were anywhere on the search. Go figure. Could it be that NOBODY considers them amusement parks? All that matt...

No conspiracy here. The pledge has changed several times since it's conception.

Re: HB 302/SB 472 - Owners/Guests/Tenants of Condos cannot be barred from Carrying

If I read this correctly it applies to both unlicensed possession and carry as well as licensed carry. In other words someone who does not have a LTC may not be prohibited by management from having a firearm and ammo in his apartment, condo, manufactured housing, or carrying it back and forth betwe...

Re: University graduation at city-owned venue

I believe TPC 46.035 a-2 gives us the answer: (a-2) Notwithstanding Subsection (a) or Section 46.03(a), a license holder commits an offense if the license holder carries a handgun on the campus of a private or independent institution of higher education in this state that has established rules, regu...

Re: Property taxes

The real evil is the agricultural exemption. I pay more property tax on my little plot in a suburban neighborhood than many pay for their hundreds of acres that produce little/nothing. But those folks who own vast tracts of land have bought enough legislative influence that the ag exemption will ne...

Re: DPS Body Cam Footage Confirms Dennis Bonnen Lies

Interesting, a friend of mine shared this post apparently from a 74 year old woman that was one of 5 people out there this weekend. Apparently, according to those that were there they didn't even go to Bonnen's house, which, if you read Bonnen's rant it is consistent since I am sure he would have s...

Glad he was weeded out before he hit the streets. We do not need people enforcing the laws who do not think the laws apply to them.

Re: DPS Body Cam Footage Confirms Dennis Bonnen Lies

You have a vote and money. Tell a politician that you're a member of his or her party and that you're going to start voting and or donating to the other side as a result of a specific action. I gave Cruz money vs. BETO and now his people contact me so often that I worry that his wife ought to know ...

Re: DPS Body Cam Footage Confirms Dennis Bonnen Lies

It's wrong when crowds of idiots surround Cruz or McConnell at dinner and it's wrong when one idiot shows up at a Bonnen's door. Those activities are personal and outside of acceptable political discourse and should be mocked and punished as necessary. Bonnen's lies are immaterial to McNutt's fooli...

This bill has made it out of committee.

Probably made it out of committee too late and will die in Calendars.
