Re: Duty to Provide LTC on Voluntary Identification to LEO?

Because I carry every time I go out of my house I volunteer my LTC whenever I'm asked for ID. Every time the officer says it's not needed. I've been told this as well by a city PD (when he was writing up an accident report for me). He said something like "it's not required anymore", and he may have...

Re: Hearing aid suggestions for my father.

Hearing aids are not a one-size-fits-all solution. They do not work at all like eyeglasses. You would think that it's only necessary to amplify the frequencies where he has loss, but that's only a starting point. Getting a good result begins with a complete hearing test with an audiologist or, at l...

Re: Hearing aid suggestions for my father.

I will add that this is one thing you not try to save money on. With hearing aids you really do get what you pay for. What is quality of life worth?

Freedom of Speech and the rest of the Bill of Rights only applies to the government, not to private entities, including yourself.

Re: Drones

And registration is only required if the drone is over 250 grams. The Mavic mini comes in a 249 grams. But don't you still have to comply with the airspace and altitude rules? And how do you know those if you're flying an unlicensed drone. As a pilot, I'm concerned about ignorant drone flyers causi...

Re: Which DA/SA gun would you carry?

I'm happy with my Berretta PX4 Storm .45. I de-cock, and then release the safety after holstering, OWB in a locking pancake holster.

Re: US didn't need to drop the atomic bomb on Japan

The Japanese military was not going to surrender, even after being hit with two atomic bombs. They were going to kidnap and likely kill the Emperor to keep him from surrendering. A few brave men got him to a hideout and ultimately got his surrender message broadcast to the Japanese people. At this ...

I would add that there are breed-specific rescue groups. Dogs whose owners have died, older dogs winding up in kill shelters, etc.

Re: 1911 C&L VS SA

BTW, there is one other safety on the M1911 that hasn't been mentioned. If the gun is cocked and you press on the muzzle and push the slide back a bit, the trigger will not fire. I do not recommend this approach however.

Re: 1911 C&L VS SA

Fifth: Glocks have X number of internal safeties. Marketing hype, these are safety devices much like the half cock notch of the 1911. The 'trigger safety' is the only device on a stock Glock that can potentially be called a safety device, however this 'safety' is often defeated by foreign objects l...
