Strauss is in a tough position. He had more opposition in his Speaker run this time than ever before, but the real worry are the reps that almost didn't vote for him. If he does anything too overtly that can be used by opponents of the reps in the next election, Strauss may lose their support quick. That, plus Dan Patrick's vocal personality and visions of Ann Richards, should keep him pretty cautious about opposing too many conservative positions.baldeagle wrote:We'll see.
