Re: Forum members dog poll

I have two pups, they are about a month apart in age. Both are both supposed to be Full blood German Shepherds, although I would be surprised if the smaller/younger of the two actually is. Every feature he has can be found on a GSD, but I have never seen them all together on the same GSD dog. The sm...

Re: SCOTUS Allows Sandy Hook Lawsuit to Proceed

Without much info, whay I understand is all that this "ruling" does is tell the parties that the supreme court will not hear the appeal of a ruling to throw out rhe case. It could very well be the SCOTUS wants to hear the case itself and rule on the validity/constitutionality of the law itself. Anot...

Re: Secret audio recording of Texas House Speaker released

Secret recordings I thought were not valid in Law/Court? Please correct me if im wrong, maybe explain how to go about it legally ect. Depends on a number of factors if I am not mistaken. Under Texas law as long as one party of a conversation is aware of the recording then it is legal, and if it was...

Re: Sug Sauer 938 Questions

I carry one daily and agree with flightmare. I have a sig p365 as well but haven't found a pocket holster I like for it. Even then I will probably keep carring the 938 more often than not just because it works for me.

Re: Colt Suspends Civilian AR-15 Manufacturing

Colt does not seem to be able to make it in the civilian market anymore, and until the company makes changes it won't. The government contracts are their business model. If colt wanted to make it big in the civilian market they would need to make premium products that match their premium prices or s...

Re: Moral Dilemma

Another option: Contact your local LE agency and report the animal abuse and offer to take in the pups. Yes, there is a risk the dogs will be returned to the abusive owner but if you don't then some other dogs will simply take the place of those two and in the end you have only made other dogs suffer.

Re: Gov. Abbott Issues Executive Orders

First off, there is no 'confiscation' or 'search and seizure' component to the EOs issued by the governor. In the case of both the Odessa/Midland shooter and the El Paso shooter people had supposedly reported the lunatics to law enforcement. The Executive orders are essentially directing Law Enforce...

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX

Carlson1 I can’t quote the specific law but I was under the impression that only 80% lowers were not allowed to be sold and can only be used by the original buyer/person who completed the machining. If someone wants to buy an off the shelf, serialized stripped lower receiver and assemble it into a ...

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX

There is a private gun seller in a lot of trouble right now. Maybe not.He would have had to KNOWINGLY sell to a felon. yes, and this is exactly why the private sale loophole needs to be closed. it's common sense, we cant have mentally deranged or autistic or retardeds out there buying assault rifle...

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX

Odessa PD is not publicly releasing the shooters name to avoid giving him any noteriety. This might actually help stop future shooters. Unfortunately they did post the shooters identity on their Facebook page and USA Today echoed it. And now, even in death, the piece of human trash can encourage ot...

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX

One of the local Midland/Odessa TV stations, News West 9, is a repeat offender when it comes to showing an anti-gun bias. I am banned from posting to their facebook page after pointing out that one of their "news stories" on 'gun safety' had been printed over three years earlier by and that the orig...

Re: Reported: Active shooter in Odessa, TX

Just heard over the scanner in Seminole at 5:08PM that all DPS troopers in the area are en route to Odessa and that the SO has been tasked to handle their duties (like auto crashes) in the county.

Re: TSRA’s Alice Tripp announces retirement

I have had the pleasure of talking with Alice Tripp twice on the phone, once was with Charles Cotton and another party. I will miss knowing that Alice Tripp is fighting for us, but at the same time I hope Mike Cox lives up to the very high standard she set. For the record I suspect that Alice is the...
