Re: Running weapon serial # during a traffic stop?

Check the serial number against what? As far is I have been told there is not a gun registration database, either state or federal. They could check the serial numbers against reported stolen guns, but what else? Locally when I hear guns run the response is usually "No 43 on that firearm." Meaning ...

Re: Is it illegal to deface political signs?

Is it the property of the person defacing it? Does the person defacing it have permission from the owner to do so? If the answer is no to both it would at the very least be vandalism.

Re: Today I sent a complement to the Trooper that cited me

Your insurance information should be in the State database and they can look it up. I have been stopped and my insurance app wouldn't let me log in. Has never been a problem as long as you actually have insurance. Yes it SHOULD pull up on the state database, but it might not due to human or compute...

Re: Pit Bull Attack...divine intervention

Dogs are a product of the people who raise them, like people. In my experience people who want aggressive dogs get "pits" and condition them accordingly. When those dogs do damage it tends to be more sensationally reported. If a "pit" is running loose it should be regarded with more caution because ...

The video doesn't begin to show how bad the fog really was, and from what I hear 2farnorth is very much correct.

Re: Police Officers should not draw their guns on a suspect with a knife

The incident I referenced was done so to show the idiocy of the articles title that officers should retreat when confronted by suspects armed with a knife. In reality officers should, and be allowed, to use their best judgement at the time while keeping in mind that their actions will be reviewed. A...

Re: Police Officers should not draw their guns on a suspect with a knife

A few months ago we had a suspect shot and killed by a Deputy, after the deputy was stabbed. Suspect was from Georgia IIRC.

AR Pistol with a vertical grip? I don't understand what the issue is there. Is it the AR pistol or the vertical grip?
With a vertical handgrip (Forward) installed an AR pistol is no longer a handgun and becomes an NFA item.

Re: Forum members dog poll

I have two pups, they are about a month apart in age. Both are both supposed to be Full blood German Shepherds, although I would be surprised if the smaller/younger of the two actually is. Every feature he has can be found on a GSD, but I have never seen them all together on the same GSD dog. The sm...

Re: SCOTUS Allows Sandy Hook Lawsuit to Proceed

Without much info, whay I understand is all that this "ruling" does is tell the parties that the supreme court will not hear the appeal of a ruling to throw out rhe case. It could very well be the SCOTUS wants to hear the case itself and rule on the validity/constitutionality of the law itself. Anot...

Re: Secret audio recording of Texas House Speaker released

Secret recordings I thought were not valid in Law/Court? Please correct me if im wrong, maybe explain how to go about it legally ect. Depends on a number of factors if I am not mistaken. Under Texas law as long as one party of a conversation is aware of the recording then it is legal, and if it was...

I carry one daily and agree with flightmare. I have a sig p365 as well but haven't found a pocket holster I like for it. Even then I will probably keep carring the 938 more often than not just because it works for me.

Re: Colt Suspends Civilian AR-15 Manufacturing

Colt does not seem to be able to make it in the civilian market anymore, and until the company makes changes it won't. The government contracts are their business model. If colt wanted to make it big in the civilian market they would need to make premium products that match their premium prices or s...
