Re: Drones

Then you must be in the mountains at an elevation of 6,100 ft. Closer to 5,000 ;-) If you are flying aa UAS around 6,500 feet ASL with an elevation of approximately 5,000 feet you must be flying illegally, with a waiver of some sort, flying a high end government bird, or something else is going on.

Re: Duty to Provide LTC on Voluntary Identification to LEO?

The LEO did demand ID, while you were not required to show ID under normal conditions this demand had no basis in law for a normal situation, which this was. Had you been carrying you would have been required to notify him by statute as he did demand ID under a strict reading of the law. As far as I...

Re: Everytown Files Lawsuit Over Texas 30.06/30.07 signs for being "burdensome"

I suspect this case will have a far greater impact than MDA and company anticipates. If they win then specific sign requirements for everything are out the window. The anti-human-trafficing posting required for alcohol sales, will go out the window. A case could also be made for license plates as a ...

Re: Glock P80

It's made for the retro market, same as all of the retro ARs which have been quite popular. And wasn't the unsupported case problems an issue with the Glock 22s? I know, I was just poking fun at glock "perfection"... I thought it was fair since the glock guys make fun of our beloved 1911's with reg...

Re: Glock P80

Received it today. No pencil barrel (Expected that) and a few other modifications from the original but overall a nice commemorative of the original G17 that was imported into the US.

Has anyone else been able to track down a Glock P80(Gen 1 G17) since they reissued a limited run of new units througj Lipsey's? One of my local dealers just called to let me know that mine should be here next week, tupperware box, certificate of authenticity, and all. :anamatedbanana The originals w...

Re: Bedside Pistol - Springfield XDM Elite OSP????

I think that the springfields are an excellent choice. I am not sure how useful all the other bits are. The can might be more a liability in terms of limiting maneuverability and perhaps more importantly it gives intruders a great big handle with which to lever that pistol out if your hands. I like...

Re: Bedside Pistol - Springfield XDM Elite OSP????

I have one of these, mounted an RMR on it. OEM sights are off from the factory, the RMR is zeroed but I have yet to rezero the factory sights. The 22 rounds of 9mm is fun. I have a little more than one box of ammo through this one so beyond what I told you I can't really say much more.

Re: Covid and 51%

One location in my area that is no longer 51% (I do not know if this changed before or after the Covid-19 shutdown) is a location that had an incident where a customer was shot and killed while the owner was shot but survived while the location was 51%. The killer shot and killed one other person at...

WARNING: Trigger Alert for some of you... I'm a new Lifetime Member, and fully believe in the NRA's mission, but I gotta say that there have been a lot of strange stuff going on with the finances and Wayne LaPierre has been in charge a looonnnngggg time. I'd like there to be more transparency and d...

Re: 1911 C&L VS SA

First off: let's address the lowering of the hammer onto a loaded chamber with a 1911. If you slip up putting the pistol into this state it can and likely will go off (As noted above). Additionally it is possible for some guns to fire when the hammer is struck in this state (Some, but not all. In fa...
