Re: Ruger vaquero

I got one of a run of .45 convertibles, and love it. I truly enjoy the looks I get when I go to the range and use a 1911 magazine to load .45 ACP into a single action revolver (Think of it as a single action speed loader). I bought it because I wanted a single action in .45 Colt and it was the only ...

Re: Online Backup Service ?

I tend to make two backups for data. One is stored at home and the second I keep somewhere I have easy access to and is secure. I keep an OS and app install usb disk for each system I use.

Re: YARC NRA birthday event (Ham Radio)

I was unable to work them myself, had trouble hearing them on 40 meters due to what sounded like AM traffic covering them up. Never heard them on 20 meters.

YARC NRA birthday event (Ham Radio)

I just learned of this and it's almost over, less than four hours to go at the time of my posting.

The Yavapai Amateur Radio Club is having a special event for the 147th birthday of the NRA at gunsite, mostly. The special event call sign is K7NRA Details at https://www.w7yrc.org/nrabirthday

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?

when considering the difference in polling between Ted and Beto you also need to remember that Beto outspent Ted by a significant margin, had major star power pushing for him, The media in his pocket, and a serious socialist movement in his corner -- yet he still lost. On paper, and in the minds of ...

Re: NEW Military 6.8mm rifle

6.8 is a good choice but I wish they’d just go BACK to 7.62x39 or 308 Fixed it for ya! Doubtless the military will spend billions on this before it’s settled and the soldiers/marines who have to carry them will look at the new thing and ask “who thought this would work for us?” As far as I know the...

Re: Insurance companies

I have, and recommend getting, glass coverage. My deductable on a new windshield or repair is practically $0. In 5 years of owning a Jeep I have had more rock chips repaired on it than everything else over the rest of my life.

We need a law to ban these high capacity assault auto(matic)-mobiles. No one needs a car capable of killing 20 people at a time.

Re: Cody Wilson charged in sexual assault of minor

Solicitation of a prostitute is a crime just as sex with a minor(16) is a crime for an adult(30?). If this guy is guilty of one or both of these crimes then he needs to be punished. With that out of the way this story just isn't passing the sniff test. Consider that at this point it is a very conven...

Re: Words to engrave

When I had a rifle engraved, all I could find was laser engraving. I hear that, finding a good engraver is hard, fortunately I have a friend. Bobby Tyler of Tyler Gun works (on the cover of the current Brownells catalog) has access to multiple engravers and he can refinish the part(s) afterwards. O...

Re: Words to engrave

I know you mentioned laser engraving, however have you considered having it actually engraved into the metal using more traditional methods? I know of at least one shop here in Texas that uses several very skilled engravers and can refinish the slide afterwards.
