Re: Weapon lights on your EDC with Paul Howe
LOL! Hackathorn sure is stirring up the hornets nest of opinions lately  Although I respect him, I don't agree with him on a lot of things. Namely (and lately) his opinions on pistol mounted optics and weapons mounted lights. For PMO's, your mileage may vary. A lot of negative opinions coming f...

Re: Paul Howe Video - CSAT 100-7 Rifle Drill
Paul Howe's Pistol Standards are GREAT! They are also a part of my system, with the difference that I allow low ready starting position. I can certainly attest to Paul Howe's standards. After watching many of his video's and what you have run me through, they are solid and require sound fundamental...

Re: Paul Howe Video - CSAT 100-7 Rifle Drill
Good video, I watched it earlier in the week. I did some carbine training with Paladin this past Saturday and ran through some of Howe's standards. Some good stuff right there. I didn't make all of the standards but learned things I need to work on now. Another great Paul Howe video. I see a lot of ...

Re: Bad Gateway error
I've had the same issues in the same time range recently. Wasn't sure if it was maintenance or an outage as once I'm getting it, refreshing does not help.

Re: NRA Defensive Pistol (Jan 27)
Solid class, solid fundamentals, and solid value. I've taken plenty of classes and this reinforces a lot of what I've learned. If you have never taken a gun fighting class before, I would highly recommend this one.

Re: NRA Defensive Pistol (Jan 27)
Interested in this but weather is not looking good. Lots of rain this week and TDSA is notorious for being muddy and holding water for a while after rain. I'll message you here shortly.

https://www.semafor.com/article/01/17/2024/mexico-records-most-violent-period-in-modern-history Gun free Mexico has broken another homicide record again. I was banned from gun politics on Redit for my first post there. I typed “Mexico” as an answer to a question. An anti gun person wanted another c...

Re: Ban on guns in post offices is unconstitutional, US judge rules
This can't change soon enough. I don't go to the post office to often, but whenever I do I generally have to go inside. Disarmed Chances are very high nothing bad will happen inside but getting to the post office is probably my main issue as you cannot even be armed in the parking lot.

Re: Don’t have bank apps on your phone
As always, situational awareness is your friend. I won't go as far as to not have banking apps on my phone. Not sure how two-factor will help if that second factor is going to your phone via text message or email. Who doesn't have their email available on their smart phone? Safest bet is to get a no...

Re: Arlington Parks Mall Shooting
Even thugs have 2A rights until convicted of a crime. Last time I read the 2A it didn't mention thugs or thugless people. Being a thug, jerk, dunce, idiot, fool, dolt, or blockhead doesn't disqualify a citizen from their 2A right to carry a firearm. Unless they were convicted of a crime. We'll like...

Re: Arlington Parks Mall Shooting
I may be wrong, but thugs like these aren't incentivized by permit-less carry laws. True but certainly clears up the grey area of who is legal to carry or not i.e. background check for License To Carry and some thug "who is of age" and wants to carry a gun because he feels he has the righ...

Re: Arlington Parks Mall Shooting
Sigh. Another reason why I'm not a fan of constitutional carry. I actually go to this mall, and Northpark, fairly often as far as malls go. But strictly for the movie theater. I only go during the day and almost always a matinee showing. Never at night.

Re: New Problem! M1A or M1 Carbine
I'm biased but I say the Carbine. Although it's hard to hate on a .308 caliber battle rifle, it's hard to argue the utility of the Carbine with it's light weight and recoil. I got my dad's Carbine when he passed away. I remember when he bought it, he was so happy having been carried one (and a M3 &q...
