Parker was an American treasure. Gunman's Rhapsody is another good one.

Appaloosa is one of my favorite books. Harris and Mortensen were magnificent, I can't stand Zwellweger.

I'm not sure qualified immunity applies in this case. She wasn't operating in her official capacity.

I think the application of it is wrong.

I'm thinking in public here, which is dangerous, but it seems citizens ought to be compensated when their government wrongs them. So if the government agent could not reasonably be expected to know his conduct was wrong, let the citizen recover from the government employer. If the government agent ...

And it's not "just like when they have a warrant." She was pointing a gun at him and yelling orders at him in his own home.

And by the way, that whole "getting shot" thing goes for any of us.

after a hard day of working at your cooshy office job/factory job/whatever you do for a living. You ever work in a plant or in the oilfield? what kind of oilfield do you work at where you're getting shot at..? i know oilfields and plant workers have hazards but a lot of it is due to negligence. som...
