Just read where CJ and his hooligans are going to push for the removal of the license requirement on HB910; correct me if I'm wrong but that's the whole reason why this bill has progressed versus HB195.
CJ if you're on here, I beg and implore you and your group not to foul this up for the rest of us. Better yet don't even be in Austin this day.

Re: General 2015 Legislative Session Discussion
With all this Open Carry and Campus carry talk....I hope that other vitally important pro gun bills are not being overshadowed. Specifically HB 413, 422, 695, 805 and SB 311 and 348.

Re: General 2015 Legislative Session Discussion
I've noticed a news outlets are referencing a piece done in the Texas Tribune, reporting Lt. Gov. Patrick has gone on record saying open carry is not a priority of this legislature and he further adds he doesn't believe there's enough support for it.

Re: 2015 Bill Status Report
Yes, let me clarify...I mean the "off limits zones" as provided under 46.035. I also see a bill has already been introduced for this.Charles L. Cotton wrote:I think you're right. Yes, a bill to remove off-limits areas will be filed in the House and Senate.srothstein wrote:Charles,Charles L. It just increases the penalty for commission of a crime within the zone. Since CHL's can carry handguns, then it has no impact on us unless we commit another crime while armed.gsansing wrote:Charles-
Any word on a bill that would drop the "Gun Free" zones for CHL holders?

Chas.
I believe that Gari meant bills that would remove 46.035.
