Re: Wife needs on body carry - belly band?
Had the same problem with my wife, strong side carry on a belt on a female makes the weapon stick out.I do not like off body carry and a pistol in a purse around grandchildren made me nervous. We tried belly bands ,kangaroo carry etc none really worked for her. Finally got her to try a true gun belt...

Re: Concealed holsters
I am 6'4" 260 and carry 75% time in crossdraw holster,10% pocket carry and 15% shoulder holster. The crossdraw holster works best for me even with a large pistol (Ruger P85 18 shot magazine)

SCCY light weight dbl stack 9 mm 10+1. I have 2 and both have fired everything I have put in them. The mags use the same diameter and feed lip arrangement as my ruger P85 ,so with 1 extra notch mags are interchangeable

Re: LTC Not Accepted at Polling Location
Undoubtedly I really live in the sticks: paper ballots and no scan thingy.
The voting officials had large paper printouts and looked up my name. Actually put paper ballot in steel lock box.

Voted yesterday. Only 3 people there to vote but the election officials said very big turnout overall for the day.
We still use paper ballets and pencils.

Re: Recommendations for truck holstering
I believe in on body carry. For long trips I either use a shoulder holster with a lightweight denim vest or a crossdraw holster. I am a big guy 6'4" 250 and carry a Ruger P-85 , so I fill up a seat and even then both options are comfortable and easy to draw if needed.

Re: Paddle Holster: Inside the pants or just the belt?
Fobus web site video, "properly worn inside the pants". I had always worn mine inside the belt for a more solid catch on the belt. Learn something new every day.

Even a cough ,cough Glock might have to be retuned if dropped on feed lips. No magazine is indestructible, esp as he was tuning 3-5 thousands.

Re: Light weight summer shirts for concealed-carry
Duluth trading. At 6'4" 250 finding long enough is my problem. Duluth trading plumber extra long tails are great.
Even the big and tall shops are really just big after XL ,most shirts are just wider not any longer.
V neck or polo style are all I wear.

Re: Civilian Markmanship Program
Having paid $1000 for a like new 1943 M1 Garand ( new barrel, wood ect) :There is no way I would pay $850 for a pistol that the cmp states it has to be repaired to work.
M1 Garand built 5,468,772 WWII cost $85 dollars
M1911 2.7 million built. WWII cost $15
I do not understand CMP pricing

Civilian Markmanship Program
I guess we overwhelmed the CMP 1911 web site after receiving an email from cmp about having new information.
It seems to be down/offline.
