I can attest to the fact that in the week before the election, I saw more out of State license plates (mainly NY and CT) in North Dallas, as well as a number of "young adults" wearing "Beto" paraphernalia and other leftist gear in the grocery store and at some of the more trendy local restaurants. This was a massively well funded and organized attack on Texas, make no mistake about it.strogg wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 11:52 pmHey! 10 year waiting period?? Well, I won't be lying if I said that I'd be willing to give up my votes if each of my concessions means two or more fewer Democratic votes.RoyGBiv wrote: ↑Thu Nov 08, 2018 7:30 amMaybe we need a waiting period, say 5 years, before an immigrant to Texas can vote in State or Local elections?stroo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 4:41 pmRepublicans in Texas better wake up and figure out how to get Hispanic votes and suburban votes. In my area which historically has been strongly Republican, I now have a Democrat state senator and a Democrat state rep who doesn't even live in the district. And my Congressman, Marchant, just barely won.
Republicans need to wake up!
10 years for transplants from CA, NY, NJ or WA.
Kidding, of course. Kinda.

Yep. A win is a win but Irish Bob is already claiming that the small margin signals a victoryPaladin wrote: ↑Wed Nov 07, 2018 8:58 amCongrats Ted Cruz!!!![]()
Still can't believe the arrogance of wealthy out of stater's trying to hi-jack our Texas election. They don't live here and have no right to interfere with our election.
Unfortunately the out of state interference elected a football player for my representative. Lets hope Colin Allred doesn't have brain damage like 96 percent of all NFL players. Having a football player as our congressman is a little uncomfortably close to the movie Idiocracy for our family.
Dallas got slammed again when we lost Don Huffines. We will miss Don Huffines. God Bless you sir!![]()

Cruz ran a virtually non-existent campaign and Sessions never got off the ground. Sessions almost seemed to give up before he ever even got in the fight.
So now in Dallas we are stuck with Socialist Collin AllRED as our Congress critter and a DemocRat DA.
Wonder where the best place is to move to in Texas? Suggestions? start a poll?

I made it in my real name but made it in honor of your screen name. PM me your real name and I will make another contribution in your honor and have the campaign send a tribute card to your home or office. Thx.philbo wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 10:38 pmThank you! Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?
Right. So let's elect a criminal who not only was caught breaking and entering, but leaving the scene of a drunk driving accident. Oh, and by the way, who wants to legalize drugs, give citizenship rights and our tax dollars to illegal aliens and denigrate our police, all while lying and being funded by George Soros. Wow, your compelling argument has me sold. I'll be voting for Bueno or Guano or whatever his name is, this week...infoman wrote: ↑Sat Sep 22, 2018 1:23 pmLet’s talk reality for a moment. Reality is that no one will end License to Carry in Texas. Everyone thought Obama being elected would end “CHL”- WRONG. If Beto wins election (prob won’t anyway), will Texas do Away with “LTC”? Answer: No. Regardless if Texas has a Democrat or Republican, & regardless if the USA has a Dem or Rep President- Texas will still have LTC. Texas has had legal carrying in public since 1995. That’s 23 years according to my math. (We’ve had Dem’s & Rep’s in all levels of Government during that time)

He really and truly is the "next Obama'. He needs to stopped now with a landmark defeat in this upcoming election.philip964 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 22, 2018 11:36 amApparently Bob O'Rourke said he did not say that the police were enforcing the new Jim Crow laws. I didn't watch the debate, so I'm not sure when this came up. But here is a youtube video where he seems to sort of point it out. He used the words "Some say".

Re: Can Beto O’Rourke really beat Ted Cruz?
Went to Pete Sessions event last night. He says Dems are angry, fired up and motivated to turn out and vote. Republicans do not seem to be exhibiting that same fervor. Not good.flechero wrote: ↑Tue Sep 18, 2018 3:07 pmWhile good news... it scares me a bit that it's only 9 pts. That's within the margin of a big dem turnout, which usually doesn't happen here (according to several articles I read recently) but could if other forces fire them up. I'd like to see a 25-30 pt spread, then I'd be comfortable!![]()
