Re: Nobody but Ilhan Abdullahi Omar

CAIR pressures NBC to repress programming content in order to conform to its Islamist ideology.

The character in an episode of "Law and Order" apparently bears too close a resemblance to Omar.

Re: Nobody but Ilhan Abdullahi Omar

To help save the economy, the Government has announced that beginning next month the Immigration Department will start deporting seniors (instead of illegal's) in order to lower Social Security and Medicare costs. A major study concluded that older people are easier to catch, offer less resistance, and—importantly—will not remember how to get back home.

Ilhan Omar's tweet on Israel-Gaza violence sparks condemnation from Republicans
In the latest fighting, Hamas and the smaller Islamic Jihad militant group launched roughly 700 rockets into Israel over two days, while Israel responded with several hundred airstrikes on militant targets in Gaza.
Donald Trump Jr. tweeted: “It’s deeply troubling that we’ve reached the point where no one is shocked when sitting members of congress, like @IlhanMN & @RashidaTlaib, side with Hamas terrorists over Israel.

Re: Nobody but Ilhan Abdullahi Omar

Omar is the Leftist's latest sacred cow. She is a walking advertisement for more restrictive immigration and refugee policies.

Nothing about her public statements indicates that she has any allegiance to this country or its people. She is just another DemocRat traitor.

Re: Nobody but Ilhan Abdullahi Omar

U.S. Pilot Who Was Shot Down During Somali Raid Responds To Omar’s 'Disgusting' Black Hawk Down Tweet
...I take special exception to Omar’s disgusting comments because I served in the Battle of Mogadishu, which was later portrayed in the movie “Black Hawk Down.” If you aren’t familiar with the real story behind “Black Hawk Down,” let me set the scene for you.
In late 1992, President George H. W. Bush launched Operation Restore Hope in support of United Nations initiatives to restore some semblance of law and order to Somalia, which was wracked by devastating famine and violent warlords eager to use the chaos and hopelessness to establish corrupt fiefdoms.
[…]
Task Force Ranger was the 1993 military effort ordered by President Bill Clinton to capture Aidid and his lieutenants so the U.N. could deliver food and medical aid without fear of being attacked or killed by Aidid’s forces. The American soldiers Omar attacked in her tweet — the men of Task Force Ranger –weren’t sent to Somalia for fame or fortune. They weren’t there because of a deep desire to visit the God-forsaken nation of Somalia. They were deployed to support peacekeepers who were desperate to rescue the country from starvation and the ravages of civil war. To do that, they had to capture the men responsible for it.
[…]
I am thankful Omar and her family and countless others were able to escape to neighboring Kenya while we fought to protect those left behind, but I simply cannot comprehend her attitude towards those of us who fought to protect her country and countrymen from warlords who plunged Somalia only further into violence and starvation. I am glad that Omar can now enjoy the very freedoms we fought to protect, like the freedom of speech and the free exercise of religion affirmed in the U.S. Constitution, but I don’t understand why she uses those freedoms to slur the men and women of the U.S. military who made her security and liberty a reality.
The simple truth is that Omar enjoys the fruits of American combat deaths, yet she can’t even bring herself to acknowledge the ultimate sacrifice that was made on her behalf, either as a Somali or an American. Her clan didn’t stand a chance against Aidid and Habar Gidirs, so I don’t blame her for leaving. But I do blame her for attacking those of us who had zero personal interest or investment in her nation for doing our jobs on behalf of our country. And I blame her for smearing American servicemen because we answered the call of our nation to address the violent barbarism of hers.
Unlike Omar, I’m not a politician. I don’t have power or influence. I don’t have a vote in Congress or the ability to direct America’s foreign policy. I’m just one of the men who strapped it on as a member of Task Force Ranger and went into harm’s way to help bring peace and security to her and her people. And let me tell you, she missed a helluva fight.

Re: Nobody but Ilhan Abdullahi Omar

Some on both the left and the right have dismissed the concern about this new “Easter worshipers” euphemism for Christians as much ado about nothing. But context is important. One would be shocked and concerned if national political leaders began referring to Jewish people exclusively as “Menorah lighters,” or “Passover participants.” We all would have been outraged if, in the aftermath of the New Zealand mosque attacks, Obama and Clinton referred to the victims not as Muslims but only as “Ramadan participants.” But they didn’t. They rightly called the victims who they were and are—Muslims.

I personally don't paint the entire Muslim faith with the terror brush, but I give no quarter to political Islamism. Been to many a Muslim country without hassle, save for Qatar.

I might say however that if there is widespread condemnation of political Islamic terror among mainstream imams, we just don't see it publicized in the media which is a shame.
Right again Mr. Buddha!

mojo84 is again both focused and correct. In recent weeks, the conversation around Islamic anti-Semitism has involved Rep. Ilhan Omar. Like the various imams and terrorists, the newly elected politician reveals the diversity of Islamic anti-Semitism. What unites Muslim anti-Semites in America isn’t geography or culture. It isn’t a local Jewish population. Instead, as we saw in last year’s rash of mosque anti-Semitism, it’s the religious teachings of Islam.
I disagree with both you and Mojo on this. I have not studied Islam that much, but I have studied Jewish history a little. I have also read what is written in the Bible (well, some of the New Testament but mostly the Tanakh). From both, I have seen how easy it is for some men to take parts of the writings out of context and use it in ways that the religious writings would never condone.

As an example from my religion, I point to 1 Samuel 15:3 where the command was to kill very man, woman, child, suckling pig, goat, and ox. There are many other verses describing Israelite brutality against Philistines. And Philistine is the linguistic basis for Palestinean. But no one puts the Jews down for being violent even though the Old Testament is a very violent book.

And the Catholic church has a long history of being anti-anything other than Catholic. Consider the Inquisition and how they treated anyone who was even suspected of not being a good Catholic (and it wasn't just Spain - they were just the most famous). The Inquisition started in the 12th Century in France and continued through 1870 (and with some changes continues still). And while very few would say that the New Testament was violent, it is easy to see how much violence has been done in its name.

There is a lot of violence being done in the name of Islam and most of it is directed against Jews, but there is also a lot of anti-Christian violence as we saw this weekend. In neither case would I say that the religious teachings say to do this. I honestly believe that it is another example of the basic precepts of a religion being twisted by some men for their own purposes. This has happened too many times in other religions for me to not see it as probable in the case of Islam.

That's because you haven't studiesd the New Testamant and enough to understand the different between the Old Testament laws and New Testament which outlines the New Covenant between God and his believers which Jesus was sacrificed for so we wouldn't have to continue und see the Old Testament laws. This is an area where Jews and Christians differ since Jews do not acknowledge the New Testament.

Here is a reasonably good comparison betwen Islam and Christianity when it comes to commandments to kill nonbelievers and hypocrites. http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages ... ammad.aspx

There quite a few more sources I'd be happy to share via pm if interested.

Thanks. There are two additional points that I would ask you to consider:

1.0 While Judaism and later on Christianity have both had periods of violent behavior, that was in the far distant past prior to modern times and norms of behavior. Islam has not enjoyed a similar formal period of "reformation" and therefore by and large has yet to enter into modernity.
2.0 As this discussion thread has matured, I think that we have also seen the beginnings of a distinction between simply "Muslim" and Islamist. An important yet subtle distinction.

The Inquisition turned out to be a very bad move for Spain, even today Spain has not recovered its former glory. Similarly, for the ancient Israelites, when they abandoned God and demanded to have Kings, things did not fare too well for them afterward.

Re: Nobody but Ilhan Abdullahi Omar

Unable to distinguish between peaceful Muslims and Muslim supporters of Islam’s holy war and its goal of Islamic supremacy, progressives like Sanders, Warren and Pelosi conflate the Islamic terror networks with all Muslims. In doing so, they unwittingly serve the ends of the Muslim Brotherhood and the jihadists, who are our mortal enemies. Here is the way Qanta Ahmed, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations views Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and her claim to represent Muslims:

Rep. Ilhan Omar continues to be an embarrassment and a disgrace for me and other American Muslims with her outrageous, ignorant, anti-Semitic and now anti-American comments. And while Omar, a Minnesota Democrat, holds herself out as a proud Muslim, she repeatedly projects a distorted and patently Islamist interpretation of Islam – a religion that in reality stands for the values of justice, peace and ethical conduct.

As for Omar’s remarks on 9/11:
Omar should be honest. There is no escaping the fact that the atrocities of 9/11 were not simply committed by ‘some people.’ Islamist jihadists were responsible and they came from within the Muslim fold…. Living at the time in the Saudi Kingdom – the epicenter of Islam – as the world learned the identity of the 9/11 terrorists, I wondered how my religion had been hijacked by suicidal killers who claimed they had a religious duty to kill innocents. And I knew from that moment that these murderers would now become the face of Islam for many non-Muslims who know little about a religion with more the 1.6 billion followers around the globe.

New York Post denounced for using a Sept 11 photo with Omar's own words. I mean using a person's own words against them, how awful is that.

AOC wants a boycott of the New York Post, because of their racism of using a person's own words against them.

Muslim owned stores and news stands in NYC not stocking the Post.

Exactly the way political correctness works to protect those who want to destroy our Constitutional Republic. It allows them to operate in our midst without being challenged.

Consider these quotes with relation to the feigned outrage coming from Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib and their buddy Dyslexia Occasional Cortex:
“How dare you show video of Ilhan Omar speaking those words! It’s incitement! It puts her life in danger! She’s a victim!”

The goal is obvious — they want to force us to cut back on the things that they find offensive.

They want us afraid to point out the very hateful and cruel things Ilhan Omar says on a near-weekly basis.
That way, while she is free to spew her hateful rhetoric with wild abandon, we will be cowed into self-censoring our criticism of her.

New Yorkers who experienced the 9/11 attack first-hand must not be angry with Ilhan Omar’s dismissive remarks about it. Instead, they should be angry at the New York Post for putting Omar’s dismissive remarks in the context of the actual event she dismissed.
Because it is an “incitement of violence” against “women of color.”

The Post’s cover is a reminder that Islamic terrorists killed nearly three thousand Americans in the single most deadly terror attack in our history. It is far more than “some people did something” as Omar dismissively said.

Judge Jeanine Was Right About Rep. Omar
The Muslim Brotherhood has made it clear that its mission is to overthrow the U.S. Constitution and impose Sharia. The pattern of Islam is to use the courts, schools, art museums, political offices, and other major institutions including outreach to churches to infiltrate, gradually introduce Sharia, and then finally takeover a nation.
http://drcarolehhaynes.com/index.php/ar ... -was-right
Judge Perro in the above article was Attacking Muslims 1stA or Questioning their loyalty to US. That is un-American. Not Kosher, Mr. Bitter.
Muslims would defend their 1stA right with their 2ndA right.
Please, do not conflagrate Hamas/Islamists Brotherhood with US politics.
It is not un-American to question someone's loyalty to the United States, especially, when that person is known to support beliefs contrary to the Constitution and laws of the United States and is a member of congress. The challenge with Islam and many Muslims is that their holy book combines religion and politics/government. Therefore, they are the ones that do the conflating.

Whether it is kosher or not, I have no clue since I am not Jewish. However, it seems to be ok for a Muslim to question a Jew or Christian beliefs and patriotism but not the other way around. When there is a group that wants to change the fundamentals of our country or eliminate it and it by whatever means necessary based upon their holy book, it is very American to call them out on it, especially, if someone that holds such beliefs is a member of congress.

Is is very tough to reconcile the three religions when the discussion seem to always comes down fighting and conquering the other.
Ok, so let's try this. As an American, and as a practicing Jew, I do not hesitate to challenge, to argue, and to condemn those (typically left wing) Jews who I believe, through their words and actions, are bent on destroying this country. I give you Chuck Schumer as "Exhibit A", may his memory be erased.

Now I have socialized with Beiruty, I have gone shooting together with him, and I find him to an engaging and intelligent individual. But I remain puzzled by what I perceive as a reluctance on his part to clearly publicly condemn Omar and Islamic terror. But perhaps I am wrong and it may simply be that as an American I am more direct, or even blunt in my speech. To the point where my speech would be considered impolite were I to be overseas.

What say you both?
