Re: need plumbing help/advice....

I think you will find that the government overhead is a significant percentage of the cost of having a professional do the work. I can't suggest breaking the law but I hear stories about DIYers doing easy fixes under cover of darkness, figuratively speaking.

Re: Greg Abbott and OC

Just don't enter private property if you don't like their rules. Your rights and theirs are then respected. That is the only solution that respects everybody's rights. I only wish the legislature respected private property rights enough to get rid of the 46.035 rules thst override the choice of pro...

Re: Dangerous Dogs and Use of Deadly Force

Did I accidentally stumble onto the forum for Mom's Demand Action for Common Sense Dog Control or Everytown for Dog Safety? No. I don't see anybody saying only the police and military need GSD. I don't see anybody saying we need to close the dog show loophole. I don't even see anybody saying there ...

I really hope Straus and his posse got the message.

Re: CHL and Open?

You can "get in trouble" for carrying a long gun where it is legal. You can "get in trouble" for openly carrying a handgun in a state (like Michigan) where it is legally allowed also. You can "get in trouble" for "printing" in Texas or carrying places with in...

That assumes the car is registered in your name, for one thing.

Re: Greg Abbott and OC

I would like to see TPC 46.035 repealed. There is no legitimate reason to impose those restrictions on handguns carried by licensed people, when unlicensed people can carry an AR, AK, or riot shotgun without those restrictions. No reason at all for TPC 46.035 to stay on the books except to pander to...

They do rule this country. People sit on the sidelines and make jokes about halftime but the truth is big government won and the constitution lost.

Re: The NRA and... who else?

Various posts have comments about various groups with many/most of them negatively inclined, other than the NRA. So, is there any group other than the NRA that is actually on the correct side of the issues? If so, which one(s)? That is very subjective. Every political group thinks they're on the co...

I didn't see any forum rule violations and it seems more topical than many other threads. Is it really so difficult to not click on a subject if it doesn't interest you?

They say you can have freedom or you can have safety. The truth is, you can't have safety even if you reject freedom.

Getting back on topic. If John Q. Public isn't allowed to buy that gun, anybody carrying one is a thug.
