Re: Hadn't had his coffee yet?

Do you remember if it was one of the yellow yield signs or one of the really old red yield signs?

Re: Relocating From CA--->Texas Soon

As previously stated, you should be good to go as is.
However, since you already budgeted for a trip and a class may I suggest that you consider spending some of that money on some good training when you get here?

Re: AR pistol build help

I'm not after an SBR I want to make it a pistol. It's my new project and I want to be 100% legal and ok. If I remember correctly, unless the manufacturer (PSA) sold it to you as a pistol lower, the ATF will consider it a rifle unless you do some extra ATF paperwork. Just placing a short barrel on t...

Re: Sticky Holster Vs. Desantis Nemesis

I occasionally pocket carry an lcp or xds in DeSantis holsters (super fly and nemesis). I like them both. They work great for pocket carry, but I don't recommend them for iwb carry at all. As previously mentioned, the pistol &/or holster can work loose over the day or during unexpectedly rigorous ac...

Re: Would you shoot?

Pepper spray vs. a deadly weapon? I've watched videos of guys being hit with a variety of brands of pepper spray and quite a number of them kept right on fighting. Yeah, they were in pain, but they still kept fighting... Yes, 25% of the population is "relatively" immune from pepper spray. Like tase...

Re: Would you shoot?

What would you do in this situation? Would you as a licensed LTC holder shoot at this guy (if it were Texas). Seems like immanent danger to me. But its a PVC pipe, so is it life-threatening? I carry fox brand stream oc spray for situations like this. If i felt i could do it safely, he'd get a shot ...

Re: Sorry for being lazy - private interstate transfer

USPS? I didn't think that private citizens could use the US Postal Service to ship a gun to an FFL - have I misunderstood this? An FFL can legally choose whichever carrier they want. Federal law permits FFL holders (private citizens) to use the US Postal Service to mail handguns. Non-FFL holders (m...

Re: Out of State Travel

... I take it I'm pretty much out of luck carrying on this trip, just in case we have to go on base.. Any suggestions? That may actually not be the case. Our base had procedures in place to allow non-servicemember concealed carry holders to leave their firearms with security/MPs when they were on b...

Re: Emergency Food … Preparedness

Try looking at some some next level freeze dried solutions too. (ex: http://honeyville.com). Bulk freeze dried veggies, eggs, meat, etc. You can put together some custom "mre" style meals that actually taste great, not just "passable". I had to live off of canned foods for a few weeks many years ago...

Re: Sling attachment points

I've decided to get a VCAS sling for my AR. My problem is, I don't understand the various attachment systems. Can somebody explain that to me? I know the rear attachment point is the loop at the end of the buttstock, which I have on mine, but I don't have a front attachment point. What should I get...
