Re: Would you support this gun private purchase restriction

I understand “the shall not be infringed.” My understanding it’s illegal to shout fire in a theatre. A judge recently ruled pointing your finger at some one like a gun is disturbing the peace or disorderly conduct and a lot of people here said “hades yeah” it is. Shouting fire in a theater in not i...

Re: Walmart has fallen!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but posting no open carry (30.07) in Texas only precludes licensed individuals from carry handguns and not long rifles? How would this prevent the El Paso incident or the Missouri guy from openly carrying a rifle? I’m assuming these events are the drivers behind releasing s...

Re: Can DL suspension affect LTC

So I had a bit of an oopsie, was out of state for work at the time of a court date for a minor traffic ticket. Since I missed court I earned a arrest warrant and a license suspension because of the Texas surcharge nonsense. I have taken care of the warrant with the issuing City but I have not paid ...

Re: Houston firefighters pay raise

Is that a decision that should be made by the voting public? My point is that the salary of government employees should not be based on public opinion and popularity poles. If police officers are paid more then firefighters that don't like their pay can become police officers. If the city can't ret...

Re: Houston firefighters pay raise

I am sure Houston firefighters are great people and I bet their union really pushed this but asking the electorate to approve pay raises is ridiculous. What about all of the support people who may work harder? They won't get the raise. Government employee raises shouldn't be decided by the electora...

I’m sure it’s not as it’s a government owned facility. Going there for the reptile show today, is it okay to carry?
Sure, as long as the reptile races are not a professional sporting event. :tiphat:

Re: 30.06 Ruling Letters

Interesting ruling. Recall the previously the judge ruled that even if there is a courtroom in the City Hall, licensed carry can NOT be prohibited if the court is not in session. I would not have gotten that from the parts of the law I have read, but it cuts against the impression that she is tryin...
