Re: Walther PPQ 9MM MK1
I tested an M1 side by side with the VP9 when I had it narrowed down to those two pistols. The only issue I had with the Walther were several double taps while I was riding the reset. The first couple were an accident, but the rest of that mag wa's purely intentional. Other than that, they're pretty...

There are a ton of custom Kydex guys out there that will gladly work something up for you. Squared Away Customs and Bravo Concealment are the ones that come to mind right off the top of my head.

Re: Wilderness Tactical vs Leather Gun Belt
A bit of brag: Yesterday, I bought a "Beltman" Elephant belt with a matching key hanger with a Texas star concho. I should have them in about a month or so. I placed the order with Jim, the owner of "Beltman" and enjoyed a great conversation with him. I really like the guy. That...

Re: Wilderness Tactical vs Leather Gun Belt
Ordered the CSM Instructor on Friday afternoon, it arrived today. Haven't had much time with it yet, but first impression is overwhelmingly positive. It's stiff, but not uncomfortable with my 1911 IWB. The level of adjustment with the Velcro is definitely better than finding the closest hole with le...

Re: Recommend me a holster for my first 1911
I wish I could recommend from experience but I'm in your situation and about to purchase my first holster for a full size 1911. After doing my research and reading all the associated reviews, I have settled on Tucker Gunleather for both holster and belt. I'm leaning heavily toward the pancake for O...

Re: The effect of attitude
This is what happens when one idiot's sphere of stupid collides with another idiot's sphere of stupid. They're both wrong, they're both being punished and quite frankly, the only person I have an ounce of sympathy for is the poor girl on the backside of the bike.

If they weren't tan, I'd take you up on that. I'm in the lucky position to be going the opposite direction with belt sizes and my 40" is too dang big.

Re: OWB carry but concealed
I've got my first kydex OWB on the way and I'll be switching off to a bigger EDC at the same time, so this is a fairly timely thread for me. I've been wearing IWB 99% of the time up until this point, so I've got some slight changes to make by the sounds of it.

I know that 21 feet is the important number for engagement from the holster, but are there any stats on reaction to that same situation from the low ready? My Google Fu is failing me today.

Re: a CHL does not mean you're Clint Eastwood
I guess my John Wick persona is out of the question too? Watching that movie made me want to buy another gun. All kidding aside, I've even become a more mild mannered driver since getting my CHL. My wife doesn't understand the change in behavior. Awesome flick. It was the beginning of my blossoming...
