TX: Suspect, child killed when deputies open fire
This does not sound good at all...
2 dead after BCSO deputy-involved shooting, manhunt through San Antonio suburb
Deputies from Bexar and Guadalupe counties, Schertz and Cibolo police, and a DPS helicopter were all chasing a woman who attempted to steal a car. She had reportedly twice pointed a handgun at deputies earlier in the chase, eluded them at one point, and was eventually located by the chopper in a mobile home park trying to break into residences.
Four Bexar County deputies confronted her on the porch of the mobile home, and at one point opened fire. The woman was killed on the porch, and round entered the house striking a six year old boy, who subsequently died.
According to the linked article, no weapon was found with the suspect.
My local newspaper reports that the woman fired from the porch when confronted, but none of the other news articles say this -- they do report that no weapon was found with her. ??
