Could you be thinking of this:
https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/ho ... ad-n972191
Houston's police chief said Friday that there appear to be "some material untruths or lies" in an affidavit used to get a warrant for a drug raid that left four officers shot and two people in the home dead.

Police Chief Art Acevedo emphasized that police "had reason to investigate that location" on Harding Street, a raid that ended in a shootout that killed the two occupants, Dennis Tuttle, 59, and Rhogena Nicholas, 58.
That news conference (on 15 Feb 19) is on Youtube but I'm not going to listen to Art blather on for 35 minutes. Pretty much everything he's said about that raid ends up being contradicted by evidence and further investigation.

ETA:
It was a favorite phrase of his:
In August, Ogg directly charged Goines with murder and Bryant for tampering with a government document. Hours after the charges were handed down, Acevedo said, “I stand by that. We had probable cause to be there.”

...

Hours after the federal charges revolving around a false 911 call and tampering with a government document, Acevedo, for a third time, said HPD had reason to be at the home.

Re: 5 Officers Shot In Houston - Pray

I see some msm accounts are still publishing that a "small amount" or "user amount" of cocaine and marijuana were found in the house, which I'm guessing is what Acevedo is hanging his hat on when he says the police "had reason" to be there. But given that Goines et al told big whoppers to get the raid going in the first place, I think there is little basis to believe coke and pot were really found there.

At the very least the news orgs should note that the police "allege" that they found small amounts, not report it as fact.

I believe that once the case is formally entered into the court process, it comes under the judge’s authority and the DA can’t just “never mind” it. He has to ask the judge’s permission and provide an explanation.

that was notified after officers were shot during the raid on Harding Street. I am not sure why she was relieved.
I can't believe how badly it is written. I can't make complete sense of what they are trying to say.
HOUSTON – Because the lethal Harding Road drug raid, Houston Police Chief Artwork Acevedo has spoken extremely of his special investigations unit,
which is dealing with the investigation into that raid. On Wednesday, KPRC2 Investigates found a type of officers was relieved of obligation. Angel August
was relieved March thirteen, but officials did not present much perception into why she was let go. Data point out August titled the offense report
“Justifiable homicide — Unfounded murder.” August was additionally assigned to the Murder Division.

That sounds like it was machine translated from another language.
