There is a list floating around somewhere in this section of the forum. Laudenberg voted yes on concurrence so no worries there. No idea on van Taylor.
Found it:

Here's the list of Republican Representatives that voted against the report. Give them a call and let them know you are not happy. These are RINOs that voted AGAINST Open Carry.

"Hello my name is... I am disappointed with the representative's no vote on HB910 "

NO!!!! Do not follow this advice! We need to get HB910 passed and this won't help. Call your Representative and tell him/her to vote for the Conference Committee Report on HB910. Don't get into name-calling and insults.

Chas.
What vote are you referring to? That list looks to be from the voting on the motion-to-concur.
HB 910 is on the House calendar for later today. I may be wrong, but I don't know of any other voting that has been done today in the House on HB 910. :headscratch
The House voted not to concur with the Senate changes to HB910. The next vote will be an up or down vote to approve or reject the Conference Committee Report.

Chas.
Yes. I know that. The original post mentioned, "..is there any way I can see who voted for and against the conf committee report in case I need to call back and cal them on ...(edited)....?"
The posted list of names are showing the "Nay" votes on motion-to-concur..Not votes on a conference report. I'm just trying to avoid any more confusion. Thanks.

And do you "know something" about the House voting? Is HB910 being voted on today?
I'm not a legislative process expert by any means, but I'm guessing that when the appropriate staff members come back to work on Tuesday and get all the necessary documents printed and distributed as required by rule, we'll see some action on HB910, perhaps mid-week? According to the published dates http://www.tlc.state.tx.us/dates/dates% ... terest.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; they have until Thursday/Friday to get it done. The House doesn't need to vote on the bill again, but since it originated in the House and has an amendment by the Senate, the House will need to move on concurrence of the amendment (motion to concur), then when the motion is adopted, it can be signed by the House and sent to the Governor. That's all I know right now. Someone please correct me on anything that might be in question. At this point in time, I don't know of anything "we" (or law enforcement) can do to change their actions.

Re: Call-To-Action: HB910

I have tons of respect for the majority of "law enforcement" agencies and officers, but I want them to be chartered, focused and measured on their performance of ENFORCEMENT of the laws rather than how well they LOBBY for or against the amendments by the law makers.
Don't forget the fact that LEOs and their agencies are paid public servants, as are the legislators.

Whitmire is occupying the floor discussing Open Carry instead of Amendment 9. Where's the call for order?

Isn't the "Dean" (Whitmire) also supposed to stay on the amendment topic during this discussion. Did Patrick go to sleep?
