Shooter is allegedly in his late teens, shot his grandmother, took police on a chase and is holding 20-30 hostages.

Still very early this could all change

Re: AMAZING! Las Vegas shootout while driving

It appears they need a PTT switch on the steering wheel so they can maintain better control and still communicate. After seeing this I was shocked that hasn't been a thing yet. My truck has no problem with a mic in the roof for me to talk. They should modify the phone systems in vehicles now to be ...

Re: Feds drop restrictions on files for 3-D printing certain guns

I don't think this sets a legal precedent, but the fact that the state department said that most modern rifles are not inherently military weapons will be referenced in future cases arguing against AWBs and other restrictions. Significantly, the government expressly acknowledges that non-automatic f...

5th Circuit to hear appeal on Texas Campus Carry

http://tpr.org/post/us-5th-circuit-set-hear-lawsuit-challenging-texas-campus-carry-law Last summer in Austin, Federal District Judge Lee Yeakel threw out the case filed against the state because, he said, the professors had not presented enough evidence to demonstrate their claims. Renae Hicks, who ...

Re: Bye Bye DISH

Roku + Sling/Netflix/Amazon Prime here. We turn on CBS (Big Brother) or HBO Now depending on the time of year (Westworld and Game of Thrones are a must)

Haven't had cable/satellite in years now, and that's just fine.

Re: Someone push me...

No reason not to... I used the ARRL study guide, and also almost passed the General exam on the first try, but was just a couple questions short of passing. I got my license and haven't done a ton with it just because of time, but if I need to I can get on the airwaves and be completely legal. https...

Re: ND While Carrying Appendix

I winced in pain when I watched that video just now. I've toyed with appendix carry in the past, and that solidifies my feeling of never really being comfortable with it. And I'm glad that my EDC has a manual safety, even if it is a striker fired gun. That was another gut feeling that I went with a ...

Re: Decibullz custom molded earplugs

Not to offend anyone, but I had a pair of these and they were absolute junk. I got better ear pro out of cheap orange foam in my opinion. Now I use active ear muffs + cheap orange foam plugs. I tried reforming them and decided it wasn't worth my time. Of course, if you're having better luck, rock on.
