Re: Colt Suspends Civilian AR-15 Manufacturing

Colt and HK both hate the civilian market. This isn't a gun company bowing to pressure, this is market forces at work. Sell a B quality rifle, at A+ prices, and this is what happens.

Re: What oil/lube do you use

I'm about out of my supply of Frog Lube and considering what to do next. I've never had any issues with it, but am open to change. That's how I ended up with Frog Lube in the first place. This thread is a couple years old, so I'm wondering what seems to be the lubricant de jour? Any recommendations...

and some had body armor too... I'm not prepared for that out of a sound sleep. Wow, makes me want to rethink some things as well. I could be wrong, but that looks to me like a plain old chest rig with some magazines pouches on it. It doesn’t look bulky enough to be body armor. Gotcha... i assumed i...

Re: Love Field, okay before TSA?

I've been in to drop off and pick up my wife. I've never had any issues. Helped her up to the ticket counter, and waited right outside the TSA secured area for her when picking up.

No not forget that symbolic cannibalism is a long-practiced Christian tradition. It is not taboo in all contexts for our culture.
Explain yourself please about Christian cannibalism.
I'm going to assume referencing communion.

Re: WalMart

Has WalMart in other areas other than El Paso begun stationing a Police Officer at the entrance? I went to a Sams in El Paso yesterday and they had both armed security and an El Paso Police Officer stationed. In Dallas the one on Forrest Ln by 635 has had uniformed officers there for years. So some...

Re: Wisdom from Robert Heinlein

I've enjoyed what I've read from him, my favorite being Starship Troopers. That book has the "There are no dangerous weapons; there are only dangerous men." quote in it. "Starship Troopers" was also the book that advocated service to obtain citizenship, only then could you vote or hold public offic...

It is a huge failing of the media that they never hold any of the dire predictors accountable for the chicken little antics.
I'm still waiting on all the liberals to move to Canada.

Another ticket the man can write while doing an unconstitutional stop to check for papers just because you are in a boat.

Does the law say only under power? If not that will make fishing hard.
Depending on how it is written could make transporting the boat difficult as well.

Re: FWPD Sgt Doesn't know LTC law

When an officer and his department get sued for false arrest, they'll be more diligent in their department training! Such settlements need to be paid by wage garnishment. I have a feeling that would learn people real fast. It's easy to be blase about such things until it's your money on the line.

Re: FWPD Sgt Doesn't know LTC law

This was a pretty good apparently non-baised article about red flag laws and alerting police about MWAG https://www.dallasnews.com/news/crime/2019/08/11/can-texas-cops-gun-legal-troubled-owner-raise-alarm-red-flag-law-el-paso-walmat-mass-shooting However, then I read this "But if someone's in a liq...

On a movie with a somewhat similar bend. I liked "The Last Supper", 1995, has Ron Perlman in it.

Re: Security Guard pulls Weapon on Deputy Sherrif in IRS building

Considering that it is a federal building and the deputy can't carry in there unless on official business (which he wasn't), then this shouldn't go anywhere. The deputy was in the wrong, and committing a felony.

Re: New 6.8 mm Round a Game-Changer for Ground Troops

The articles never mentioned the case just the 6.8mm projectile. Something along the lines of a 277 Wolverine would only require a new barrel if upgrading current M4's. Something similar to that would make the most sense, but we are talking about the government so don't expect their decision to mak...
