How's the deli section at HEB, I never been in one as it's not local to me yet.
Pretty decent, it’s not Central Market, but for standard grocery staples the quality is very good.

They’re posted 30.07 but not 30.06 so I’d say not really.

Wow! I wish I lived that close to Boo Rays.
HEB in Waxahachie is always crowded. I've never been there and found a half empty parking lot.
Is Boo Rays good? Lived out this way for a while and have never been. Our go-to Cajun is at GoGo Gumbo up in Boyd.

Newest H-E-B opened down the road, traffic is horrible...

H-E-B opened their newest store yesterday in Hudson Oaks; to my knowledge this is their northern-most store (if you don’t count Central Markets) and a welcome addition for us as we’d been driving 45 mins+ weekly to either shop at the Burleson or Granbury store. Now it’s about a 5 min drive, but...th...

Re: Need to clean really tarnished brass?

I'd like to build something larger than the Frankfort Arsenal tumbler, but there just isn't enough time. I have so much brass that I don't need to turn it around quickly. This means I can shoot until I have thousands of rounds to clean. Has any Forum Members built a wet tumbler? Chas. Why not use o...

I too had a significant amount until I invested in building my gun range with 12 steel targets, a dueling tree, and a automatic trap machine....
So you’re saying the problem of how to store all that ammo solved itself...

Re: Yup... I'm officially a gun nut.

I employ an Excel spreadsheet to track my inventory. Last I looked had just shy of 20k of .22lr, most of it being Standard Velocity (SV) CCI or some other sub-sonic round for shooting suppressed. That’s the single largest category followed closely by 9mm and 5.56. As someone said, times are good, so...

Hey I’m going today. Anyone know if this is still the case. Carry away?
So what’d you find out?

Just got back from Thomas. No signs and had no issues. I carried my M&P. 45c
That response was from 2011, was hoping for an “update” of sorts.

Well, that didn't last very long https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2019/04/daniel-zimmerman/breaking-california-judge-reinstates-high-capacity-magazine-ban-as-of-5pm-friday/ No, but think about how many hundreds of thousands of mags have likely flooded CA. I saw pictures of a lot of really lucky fo...

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Camp Verde, TX

Grandfather lived in Kerrville for the longest time. I ended up in San Antonio for college. Still remember taking a lot of great drives up to Kerrville on weekends by way of Bandera or other round about means. Love that area of Texas (Lost Maples State Wilderness area is one of my favorites).

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Kermit, TX

My grandfather graduated HS in Kermit in 1944. He was born in Ranger but spent most of his boyhood in Kermit. Upon graduation he went into the Navy and served in the Pacific aboard LST 905. My dad remembers summers spent with his grandmother in Kermit. I've yet to venture out there, but will be maki...

I prefer a horizontal carry for my spare mag. Been using a MagHolder for a while now. Pretty happy with it.

Re: Just some cool SBR updates...

I’d say I was envious, but really I’m biased. I’ve had a similar setup for a couple years now, the 11.5” is my favorite length for SBRs as a result of this gun. Same upper with a matching BCM lower. The KMR rail is by far my favorite on the market still. Mines wearing an Aimpoint H1 still, but that ...
