Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

SigM4: yes, technically you got me there. 1/18/20 is correct. We'd all get a kick out of you bringing your young prince with you. Mrs.Blackhorse1 is partial to his type. :-) SIA He will be in attendance yet again. Seems my girls take after their mother, that is to say come Saturday morning they’re ...

Re: Pictures of your "Brown Guns"

I figured we weren’t really including hunting rifles or I’d have included those. Though I’m certain a previous owner likely used the .30-30 to take a dear or two. The M1 is due a new stock this year. https://i.postimg.cc/6Q75TgHK/133-B4-E7-C-444-C-4-F5-E-9-DC5-61-E22-E565150.jpg I call this one “Sha...

Re: DFW North/NorthEast Quadrant Breakfast

Well, I had every intention of coming up for my first visit to the N/NE group today but a late day at work yesterday and then waking up to the sound of rain on the roof and a nice warm bed kept me from getting up in time. Hopefully next time. Hope everyone had a good morning.

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

Well, this past Saturday, 12/21/19, we had a good turnout for breakfast: Blackhorse1, diesel42, jusme, nano, our non-forum Gideon friend, SigM4 and Baby Boy SigM4, SIA, and strogg. So we had 8 adults. It was a special day for Baby Boy SigM4 since it was his 1st birthday. A good time was had by all....

Re: What Can Someone Tell Me About A Tavor

I have one and like it. Here it is next to my 12.5” SBR’d AR. Don’t let the longer suppressor fool you, take a look at there the muzzle devices are. https://i.postimg.cc/xCsyCGxG/E9576-C5-C-6-A49-4-E20-9457-2-C6-FD20-FFB67.jpg The main attraction is short overall length without getting into SBR pape...

Re: WTB: .22 handgun for introducing new/inexperienced shooters.

Good call on the compact version. I should note that the full-size version you reference isn’t actually made by S&W but rather Walther and simply marketed under the S&W name; it is also a far cry from the compact version insofar as quality is concerned. I think you’ll be very happy with your choice....

Re: WTB: .22 handgun for introducing new/inexperienced shooters.

My vote is the M&P 22c. I have many different .22 pistols but this one mimics the full size guns better than the rest. Not a tack driver as some Ruger or Buckmarks might be, but doesn’t need to be.

Weatherford ISD has had this for a while now as well. Signs posted at all the entrances advising that they will use force to protect their students.

Q-tips. After cleaning the entire gun is blown out with air from my compressor so no lint to worry about before applying grease.

Re: Well that took long enough. Geez

So last year in October I bought a little $90 22 rim fire silencer did all the paperwork and sent in my check for $200. All was done in October. My check was cashed in December. Geez. Well I just got my tax stamp, wow. 12 months my TSSCI security clearance didn’t take that long. Wow Go ahead and ma...
