Hey I’m going today. Anyone know if this is still the case. Carry away?
So what’d you find out?

Just got back from Thomas. No signs and had no issues. I carried my M&P. 45c
That response was from 2011, was hoping for an “update” of sorts.

Re: CA: Fed court strikes down 10 round mag limit

Well, that didn't last very long https://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2019/04/daniel-zimmerman/breaking-california-judge-reinstates-high-capacity-magazine-ban-as-of-5pm-friday/ No, but think about how many hundreds of thousands of mags have likely flooded CA. I saw pictures of a lot of really lucky fo...

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Camp Verde, TX

Grandfather lived in Kerrville for the longest time. I ended up in San Antonio for college. Still remember taking a lot of great drives up to Kerrville on weekends by way of Bandera or other round about means. Love that area of Texas (Lost Maples State Wilderness area is one of my favorites).

Re: Off The Beaten Path - Kermit, TX

My grandfather graduated HS in Kermit in 1944. He was born in Ranger but spent most of his boyhood in Kermit. Upon graduation he went into the Navy and served in the Pacific aboard LST 905. My dad remembers summers spent with his grandmother in Kermit. I've yet to venture out there, but will be maki...

Re: Anyone have this issue....

I prefer a horizontal carry for my spare mag. Been using a MagHolder for a while now. Pretty happy with it.

Re: Just some cool SBR updates...

I’d say I was envious, but really I’m biased. I’ve had a similar setup for a couple years now, the 11.5” is my favorite length for SBRs as a result of this gun. Same upper with a matching BCM lower. The KMR rail is by far my favorite on the market still. Mines wearing an Aimpoint H1 still, but that ...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

Sorry have missed yet another breakfast, especially being right down the road from me. Was hoping to wake up and make the couple mile drive out there this morning but my 2 month-old son had ideas other than sleeping last night...the joys of parenthood. Glad the new location worked out and hopefully ...

Re: Just got my CHL and went out for the first time!

When did the Wally Walk go out of fashion? I recall being denied my man card in the early days of my membership here, on the grounds that my trip to a sushi bar was not enough of a test. So I went and did my Wally Walk, and posted pictures here to prove it. Then I got my man card back. :rules: :mrg...

Make sure and get a good sturdy gun belt.
Yes, you’ll be shocked at how a real gun belt carries versus a non-gun belt. Armor Belts are my favorite, but many good brands out there.

Oh, and congrats.

Re: Shooting at Police officer while in chase

You know, the first couple times I watched this back when it happened I never realized how many other units were in pursuit when the chase ended. I always thought that officer was pretty brave to be exiting his car into that (still do), but now seeing all the backup he had makes me feel better about...

Re: Shooting Qualification While Pregnant

Renewal before last for my wife happened while she was preganant with our first (of three) kids. She and my folks got their CHLs at the same time so they all renewed at the same time. This was when Crossfire was still teaching classes at Cabelas in Fort Worth. Anyhow, long story short she did the cl...

Re: DFW West/Southwest Quadrant Breakfast

I wouldn't mind some range time afterwards either. Odds are, I'll be going no more than once every 2-3 months, though. It is an hour and a half away from me after all. If the Arlington breakfast continues, I'll definitely be keeping up with that. I’m not abandoning the Arlington breakfast completel...
