It might be worth archiving this thread and making a new one since the laws have changed somewhat. Someone might not realize the date of the original post and be getting inaccurate information.

Labs deal with a lot of very dangerous materials. One more - Jan 1 you can open carry in your car, it doesn't have to be concealed. Does it still have to be in a holder on your belt or shoulder though? Or can it legally just be sitting in the passenger seat (bad idea obviously)?
