Re: TX: Deadly shooting in a gun free Houston bar

umm, yeah, bar/pool hall (a 51% location in TABC) at 4:30am on Sunday morning. Since only one guy got shot out of +-30 present with multiple rounds fired, sounds like it was something personal.

Re: Fess Up

So typical, The Right makes a bold statement. The left screams and hollers about the unfairness of it all. The Right caves in. The left always wins. Whether it's Illegal alien detention. or billboards. What Burkett should have done was told all the complainers "ya want it down, then rent that billb...

If he head butted someone, would that be an assault with a deadly weapon?

I’m so sorry for that one.
Actually, it would be "assault with a head-ly weapon". :biggrinjester:

If you look closely, it appears to be a Glock 18. I wonder if he has a tax stamp tattoo somewhere to go with it?

It just hit me. Where the heck was the usual off duty police guard I see at every theater I am ever at? Is there not any at that theater?
Where they always are. Far side of the concessions by the ticket-taker's pedestal, checking bags and purses for contraband snacks :nono:

Re: You lackin'...some brain cells?

In chess, when we would attack an equivalent value piece in such a way that our opponent could then immediately capture our attacking piece, it was referred to as 'trading even' and/or 'reduce and simplify' (getting low value pieces off the board to clear attack paths for higher value pieces). This ...

If every driver you attempt to carjack pulls a gun on you, maybe God is trying to tell you that you made a poor career choice?

Re: Colorado Dem candidate pepper sprays himself video

1) "whatta maroon" 2) anyone else question the concept of countering lethal force with a non-lethal force (presuming you have a choice AND wish your countermeasure to be effective) 3) they don't show the actual time lapse in the video, between when he sprays himself, and when he's dunking his head a...

click-bait banking article

Was browsing thru my LinkedIn.com feed; one of the panels was a link to an article on Economist.com ("The Economist" magazine) titled "The Number of New Banks in America has Fallen Off a Cliff". Perusing the article https://www.economist.com/finance-and-economics/2018/06/02/the-number-of-new-banks-i...

he was looking for someone who’d entered the club with a fake ID. When he heard gunshots, he ran toward the entrance and confronted Mateen , but realized he was outgunned and needed backup - yeah, I tend to wonder about that part. - if you engage first, and effectively, it doesn't matter that you a...

Re: How Can This Happen?

When this video first popped up, there was discussion on the competition forums about it's provenance, and likelyhood. - at the time, no one was able to determine where this took place, and no club owned up to it. - the consensus was that the RO in this scenario was an incompetent moron - it was poi...

Speak for yourself, if you like, Ms. Foster; but don't presume to speak for the rest of us, or expect us to hold that narrow worldview you seem to have that all our psyches are the same......(like yours?)

Re: Former chief of the Texas Rangers thinks 2A is about hunting

A one time buddy of mine was an LEO (detective, later a Game Warden) and is way left. He doesn't even own a gun, thinks the government should provide him money so he can pursue his art. And no, I'm not kidding. Most LEO's (I think) are Conservative, but not all...my old pal, who quit speaking to me...
