Re: concealed definition

By the same logic, is a handgun still a handgun if it's not being held in your hand? Or is it a handgun while I am holding it, and a non-distinct firearm while sitting in my holster, or safe, or range bag, only to magically become a handgun again as soon as I grab it with my hand? Or is it just hols...

Re: MS: Supreme Court rules judges may not ban E-concealed carry outside courtrooms

I did some research on MS concealed carry laws last summer ahead of a trip to Disney World (where I would be staying overnight in MS). One thing I found interesting is that the statutes have specific wording and size requirements for "no guns" signs to be effective, but their DA has openly stated th...

Re: A big welcome to Pink Pistols members.

I bet 95% or more of NRA members don’t care who you sleep with, and their main concern is how you view liberty, freedom and the Second Amendment. :iagree: :iagree: There is a direct correlation between the importance you place on personal freedoms and your tolerance for the decisions of others (as ...

Agreed, all are welcome! But this chaps my hide... “I would never have thought I’d see the LGBTI community siding with incredibly conservative, right-wing, pro-gun advocates that have been publicly homophobic and transphobic — that didn’t make any sense,” Abboud explained : In reference to the NRA....

Orr is an ammo manufacturer based in Needville TEXAS. Owned and operated by a retired Marine Colonel.

I can personally attest that their stuff is amazingly consistent and super clean.
They also sponsored the recent IDPA Gulf Coast Regional.

Re: BAD lever type gadgets:

My BIL has put one on his AR and says he likes it. I could never get past it for the same reasons ya'll have kept from getting one or stopped and never got one for myself. Too close for comfort. I keep my carbine next to my bed. The circumstances where it would come into play are too risky for the ...

And why exactly are we allowing California to claim that it is part of the United States?

Re: S&W 340pd. Airlite 357 mag

It's a handful. But there's something nice about dropping a 'full power' handgun in the pocket of your gym shorts or scrubs and not worrying about a belt. For reference an iPad mini weighs more than this thing. I generally go with the philosophy that if I am in a situation where I need to use my SD...

Re: Yelp* reviews for businesses that post 30.06 and/or 30.07

Just make sure that whatever you post is factually correct. A woman is being sued for $1m after leaving a bad review. http://www.wafb.com/story/38305415/woman-sued-for-1-million-over-bad-yelp-review On one hand, that's scary. On the other hand, I doubt we're reading the full story. A review is usua...

Also the fact that they were running away when shot might have something to do with it too. I'm sure illegal activity also had something to do with it like Keith B said. :iagree: Once the threat, is over, shooting fleeing criminals, takes away, your defense of, ending a threat. Re: Do Own A Sig 365?

Soccerdad1995, My Ruger 101 revolver failed me once. Why? The case of the cartridge for reasons unknown to me had expanded slightly apparently after being loaded into the chamber some months previously. Thus, when I pulled the trigger it jammed, that is, it wouldn't revolve or rotate if you will. I...

Re: Do Own A Sig 365?

I would never trust a 1911 because of reliability issues with defensive ammo nor a Glock's and their ilk because of their reputation for shooting the people they are meant to protect. Others don't worry about such things. That's OK, but for me, I carry because of the tiny odds I'm going to need it....

Actually the term "civilian" can also be used to describe someone who is not part of a group. Like professional poker players might refer to casual tourists as "civilians". This might be more of a slang term, though. I'm not sure how this relates to the topic of this thread, though. It sounds like ...

Re: Range Catch 22

I've been to a few ranges in the Austin area that allow drawing from the holster after you take their training, get their card, and pay them more money. A few allow firing as fast as 2 shots in 3 seconds . My local range is 10 minutes from my house and is outdoors. I can practice as I want to. Anot...
