Re: STUPID no better way to say it

I've had conversations with people who claim that they would rather be killed then to defend themselves with lethal force I have had similar conversations. Fortunately, most of them have been civil, with each party respecting the other's viewpoint -- and understanding that nothing said or done is l...

Re: IL: Chicago CCL holder kills armed robber on street

I agree with everyone that this has a happy ending, but this is not the end for the young woman. Illannoy has designated any transportation system that uses public funds to be target zone for criminals. See , public transportation are gun free zones. How do I know? I have an Illannoy license. One o...

Re: OH: School kicks SRO off campus for writing principal a ticket

Either way, it just screams of entitlement. Especially if the SRO asked you to not park there on several occasions, and you do it anyway. None of us would have gotten that verbal warning courtesy. THAT I agree with! The school official was given every opportunity to change their behavior and didn't...

Re: STUPID no better way to say it

I can actually respect a truly pacifist mindset like this. As said above, I only take exception when they push their viewpoint onto me. Just like I would never say that someone MUST carry a gun and MUST use deadly force to protect themselves, I have no patience for people who say that I MUUST NOT do...

Re: Magnetic Vehicle Mount

There is an interpretation that says if a handgun is available to you then you are carrying, whether in a glove compartment or under the seat... That's what I thought. So if the handgun is "available" to me, then I am carrying it. And if it is also in a belt or shoulder holster while also available...

Re: Pelosi could become President before 2020

I had to check to make sure that this article wasn't in The Onion. Yes it is possible that Trump could be impeached. Yes it is possible that Pence could then be impeached with lightning speed before he had a chance to appoint a new VP. If these things happened then yes, Pelosi would be president. N...

Re: OH: School kicks SRO off campus for writing principal a ticket

The school districts' response doesn't mention any disciplinary action for the Superintendent who abused her power. I also liked this tidbit A school spokesperson said the district employee moved the vehicle when asked. Yeah. Kinda beside the point. You break the law, you get a ticket. Period.

Re: Government shutdown

Let's apply a simple test. Does the federal agency do something that is also done by state / local government agencies, or by another federal agency? If so, does the federal agency add significant value that cannot possibly be accomplished by these other agencies? Hey, we could take governmental re...

Re: Pelosi could become President before 2020

I don't buy the premise. If President Trump is, somehow impeached by the House, and that impeachment is confirmed by the Senate, then newly sworn-in President Pence would nominate a new Vice President. Even if the House dems were to make a naked power grab by trying to rush through an impeachment of...

Re: Man killed by a single punch

The story seem to indicate if the deceased hadn't fallen and hit his head he would have survived the punch. Arguments get out of hand quickly and de-escalation is better than arguing with idiots. I agree 100%. Most of the bad situations I see could have been avoided by doing one of the following: -...

Man killed by a single punch

This instance makes me think twice about the idea of whether a single unarmed attacker poses a deadly threat. And also whether it is OK to defend yourself before a punch is thrown. http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/man-is-arrested-five-days-after-he-killed-a-data-programmer-with-a-single-punch-dur...

Re: Unfair to use an AR-15 against would-be burglars?

As far as taxes, "fair share" is pretty obvious. You pay a share equal to what you are receiving. If you and I go out to lunch, paying our "fair share" would mean paying for what we each ate. Our ruling class sees it a bit differently though: You and one of the elites go to lunch, the elite has lob...

Re: Unfair to use an AR-15 against would-be burglars?

What is "Fair"?? What is fair in a home invasion? When it comes to taxes, we hear the phrase "Fair Share". What is the definition of "Fair Share"? The only place I find "Fair" is in the dictionary. In life, not a darn thing is fair. As far as taxes, "fair share" is pretty obvious. You pay a share e...
