Re: Texas event becomes National Holiday today

It is nice to see the rest of the nation finally following Texas' lead here and acknowledging that Texas is so important that they should all celebrate our accomplishments.

Now we need memorials to the Alamo in all 50 states!

Re: SCOTUS Rules 9-0 against unlawful seizure of guns!

Alito's concurrence stated that Red Flag laws are separate and that he expects them to come before the Court, but that this opinion does not specifically address them. SNIP Red Flag laws are on pretty solid ground when it comes to search and seizure. The judge will listen to an officer reporting on...

I'm fine making them optional, but businesses should not be able to require masks for anyone.

I don't know about y'all, but I've pretty much stopped shooting altogether. My only exception in the last two months was when my daughter came home from college and wanted to try out the .380 EZ I got her.

Why wouldn't he sign it?

Re: ATF Released New Proposed Pistol Brace Rules

Mr. Rothstein, I agree with the first part of what you wrote, 100%, and I won't argue against the second part, either. However, I'm sure you know that no law is any better than its enforcement. So what I am curious about is this: how many braced-type AR pistols do you think are out there right now?...

Re: WWII M1 Carbines for sale soon?

I got an e-mail this morning saying that the M1 Carbines were available. I just clicked on Midway's site and they are apparently all sold out. They definitely didn't last very long.

Re: Woman shot by off-duty officer

Guess who is about to have a felony record and lose his gun rights? Interesting, but useless factoid. By federal law a convicted felon who is a police officer may possess firearms for use in his job. ……assuming the dept doesn’t fire him……for having a felony record…… The above post says that he resi...

Was this some type of prank gone wrong? Like egging a house, but with paintballs instead of eggs? I can somewhat understand a 10 year old making the mistake of thinking this was a good idea. But what the heck is wrong with the kid's dad? That adult should definitely be going to jail for child endang...

Re: The independant nation of CHAZ

So I'm wondering when the Dems are going to propose a special commission to investigate CHOP/CHAZ, The GFAZ (George Floyd Autonomous Zone), and other insurrections that have happened in various places throughout the US over the last year. They seem to be classifying any attack on federal buildings a...

Re: HB 1927 on the Senate floor now

So, again, I'm now confused. IF a business has up 30.06 and 30.07 signs, but does NOT have 30.05 signs posted, are people who do NOT have an LTC allowed to carry past the signs, but those WITH an LTC are NOT allowed to carry past the signs? That doesn't make any sense at all. Especially since there...

IANAL, but I don't think she has much of a case on the "wrongful termination" assuming that NY is an at will employment state. If her employer made statements about her then the defamation claim might have more merit.

Color me skeptical. coughcoughTrayvon Martincough... The immediate difference here is that it does not appear there was a possible disparity of force. Then again I have not seen a picture of the woman who was shot. Maybe she is a female power lifter? Who knows? We definitely need some more facts he...
