Re: Do you carry "Murder Insurance"? Leftists attack carry policies

"The reason I call it murder insurance is because if you look at the way this is marketed, it's really sold in the context of 'There's a threat around every corner, dear mostly-white NRA member,' and that threat is either a black man or a brown man or some other kind of person of color," said Guns Down director Igor Volsky.

I must have missed the advertising campaign that presents all threats as coming from minorities. The only one making this about race is Mr Volsky himself.
Carry Guard insurance was launched this past spring by the NRA. Rates range from $13.95 a month for up to $250,000 in civil protection and $50,000 in criminal defense to a "gold plus" policy that costs $49.95 a month and provides up to $1.5 million in civil protection and $250,000 in criminal defense. The coverage kicks in if a court finds the person lawfully shot someone in self-defense or the case is dropped.
I'm not sure if this part is accurate, but it really undercuts the whole point of the article, IMHO. If the coverage only "kicks in" after a court finds that the shooting was lawful / justified, then where is the insurance benefit I get from murdering someone? Murder insurance would only pay out if a shooting was ruled unlawful. Or the exact opposite of how this very article is characterizing the insurance.

A better slang term for these policies would be "frivolous lawsuit insurance" since they only pay out if you are first found justified in a shooting.
