I actually didn't notice any bias in the article. I thought it was great! what that man went through and is still going through....wow. I didn't know much of anything about him.

I quit reading TM a long time ago, because they were way too far left for me.
I like the article, they let the subject be the story, rather than their opinion, of the story.

IANAL but, in my limited experience, as long as the long gun is legal in the purchaser's state, the sale can be made. The restriction is only on handguns, or long guns prohibited in the state of residence.
This lawsuit has no basis, as far as I can tell. I do know that Colorado banned high capacity mags, for a while, but not the guns capable of using them.
Not to mention the fact, that the sale took place more than a year before the incident. If they want to sue someone, they need to go after the Air Force, for failing to report the shooter's disqualifying background. I am not a big supporter of Academy, but they were only following the law. JMHO

There is nothing to be gained by giving interviews. Secondly, if his actions did cause the death of the BG, that's not something you want to put out for public consumption, no matter how righteous it may have been. There are still emotions that need to be discussed only with professionals.

There is no credible evidence regarding how the gun was obtained by the sack of excrement, it's possible that he already owned it, before the dishonorable discharge, or it was obtained by illegal means. In my opinion, guessing, or putting forth unsubstantiated theories, is no better than what the MSM is doing.

More info will be forthcoming, so I will wait and learn more, before guessing at motives, affiliations, or any other things that are all conjecture at this point. Prayers for all affected by this tragedy, I hope that the victims families and friends are comforted by the fact that their loved ones are now wrapped in God's loving arms. We may never fully know all of the facts, but we do need to be extra vigilant, and never believe we are completely safe, no matter where we are.
