Re: renewal wait times

Perhaps an Oops! I think you meant to say you submitted your renewal Aug 18th (not Sep 18th).

I submitted mine Aug 1 and checked today. Still processing but I expect it won't be too much longer.

Oh I see it.

You have a right handed pistol and a left handed pistol case.

Bummer!

Re: Shame on Dallas and Dallas PD!!

I'll be more than happy to donate a dollar.

It might be interesting to see which of Dallas' mayoral candidates would like to contribute a dollar as well. At the very least, I would like to get their take on the situation perhaps as a debate question.

Re: Worn Leather Hoslter Causes "Accidental" Discharge

Just FYI: This is the ONLY reason I prefer the XD over the Glock... After practicing with my XD, I have made it second nature to lift my palm off the grip safety when holstering, preventing the firing pin from releasing even if the trigger is pressed. This :iagree: weighed heavily in my decision as...

Two words: "Rock Chucker" First - because the person who is proposing this type of legislation has about the same IQ as a rock chuck Second - A Rock Chucker can with appropriate dies, powder, bullets, and primers can pretty much eliminate the need to go anywhere near a Wal-Mart to purchase...

Re: Anyone know of a Solar supplier in the DFW area?

I've seen solar panels at both Northern Tool and at Harbor Freight. Haven't a clue as to the quality but both stores sell panels, controllers, wiring kits, and accessories. There are several of both stores in the DFW area. Northern has the better selection although pricier.

Re: This day in history - March 6

I've heard nothing at all on the news about the Alamo.

I did however, have a good time at my brother Mike's 62nd birthday party yesterday. We celebrated a day early so that we could pay proper respects to the defenders of the Alamo today.

Shipwreck is correct. The ones I saw were the stainless slide (duo-tone) versions.

Re: Beretta PX4 with two-tone finish?

You might want to check Bass Pro. The store in Garland had two of them when I was there this afternoon.

Good luck and happy hunting.

Re: Accidently "exposed" My CHL - almost humorous

Sounds to me like the only person being rude during the conversation was the "lady" asking for ID. Unless she asked specifically for your DL, I believe you responded appropriately and she simply couldn't get over an obvious personal bias against people carrying firearms. I'm afraid, had it...

Put me down as an Academy fan.

I've purchased multiple firearms at Academy and never had a bad experience. Always prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional in dealing with paperwork.

Re: AMT .380 9mm Kurz BackUp

If it helps, I saw an "OMT" (limited production precursor to AMT as explained by the seller) at the Big Town gun show this past weekend. Identical gun but with wooden grips. Seller was asking $230. Nice piece but as you point out, kind of heavy when you consider the options available today.

Re: Online poll, people want stricter laws

We're losing. Everyone needs to hit it. To paraphrase Oldgringo, Been there, done that (several times) And by the way, I just love the way the question is worded: " Current laws are too strict. Any infringement upon gun owners' rights is an infringement upon the 2nd amendment. " Makes any...
