Burns is my rep, I have been innundating him with requests to author a bill to remove prohibited locations, but have not gotten anything but a " thanks for contacting us" type reply. This is his third term, and I am so far disappointed. He votes the right way, but is not a guy who has been behind many pro 2a bills.
I would love to see a bill like this. I've been talking to different reps around my county about removing just 4 locations that are off limits by statute;
  • 51% locations (It's already against the law to carry while intoxicated)
  • professional sporting events
  • race tracks
  • election day and early voting polling locations

There were pro-2a chairs in the past for this committee and the bills did not make it thru to a committee vote then. I can just about guarantee that the chair will vote against pro-2a legislation. I cannot say that the entire committee will. I am still waiting to see if Bonnen's chair appointments and committee assignments result in greater individual liberties.
