Re: Pawn shop Wingmaster

$150 for a Wingmaster?? Any idea on the year? Anyways, assuming it’s not been bubba’d, I would jump on that deal in a heartbeat.

Re: Target shooting on public land

I called around to various agencies and police departments some years back trying to find out the same thing anywhere near Houston. I got so much conflicting information and non answers that I realized police in each area likely didn’t have a clear understanding of where it would or would not be leg...

Re: The woes of Unique

My Dillon 650 throws it spot on 90% of the time. I've never seen it throw more than .1 grain off. I've never tried it with the Lee discs though.

Re: Office Depot selling Red Dot Sights ???

B&H is great. I buy my high end audio equipment from them. I'm glad to see they've started offering scopes and sights!

Re: Left eye dominance

I didn't realize I was cross eye dominant until last year. I relearned shooting long guns left handed. Hand guns I just started to use my left eye instead. I figured it out when I tried doing bench rest shooting and realized I couldn't concentrate with my right eye and it became so strained I would ...

Re: Shot Shells for Skeet?

Academy has Monarch 12 gage 7.5 or 8 monarchs for 5.00 a box right now. These are 1oz shells traveling at 1350 FPS. I use the every weekend shooting skeet, five stand, and sporting clays. I like dm and the price is right. This is what I always buy. Cheap and seems to be accurate enough in my 870 fo...

If you were in Houston I would have taken it off your hands already. Let me know if you come this way.

Re: AR Scope Suggestions

What's your budget? I use a Leupold vx-2 on one of my AR's and a Redfield Revolution on another. I used both out to 300 but I'm currently trying to get better at 200 and they work great there. I got the Leupold for $200 and the revolution for $100

Thanks for the heads up! I'll head over after my morning range session.

Are the auctions cash only or will cards also be accepted?

Thanks for this link! I like the options and the price is very reasonable. Might just make this my next 1911

Re: The 1911 plunge

A used Colt Defender would likely fit the bill but comes up towards the top of your price range probably. I love mine. It's my EDC and has been 100% reliable.

Re: Big 45 Metal Cleaner for rust

Thanks for the input all. I read lots of solutions with the steel wool but I messed up some finish (not on a gun) previously by using it too aggressively and I was too paranoid to try that on this rifle. I think the rust had been there awhile but I just never saw it until using bright lights. I trie...

Big 45 Metal Cleaner for rust

The other day I picked up one of my older rifles and was inspecting it under a bright light when I noticed some rust freckling I had never seen before. Very light but easily noticeable under very bright light. I panicked since this is the only gun I've ever gotten rust on. I also ran and checked all...

Re: Stovepiping on Colt Gov't 380

Has the gun always had this problem or is it a recent development?

If it's recent I would first look at mag springs (depending on their age) or recoil springs.

Re: Ruger #1 for $899

I don't need this. I don't need this. I don't need this. I don't need this. I don't need this. I don't need this. I already bought a Wilson combat and a Python this year. I don't need this. My wife is only so patient. I don't need this. I don't need this? Do I need this?
