Re: ATF to Institute Rulemaking Regarding Stabilizing Braces and Require Registration of Currently Owned Braces

Just going to say this is the result of everyone rolling over on bump stocks including the NRA to a degree. This is the next step regardless of how you feel about braces either way. Encouraging or looking the other way on this will lead to yet more non-legislative actions to curtail 2A rights. Our p...

Re: Shooting teams for a teen

There is a clay team (skeet, trap and sporting clays) not far. I think it is a Keller team tied to the school but also takes other area HS students from schools without a team IIRC. If not there are other clay teams somewhat nearby. SSSFonline as mentioned before has them listed as does TexasYES. SA...

Re: Dillon 650 / Swage It

It's been discussed a bunch on other forums but yes it does void the warranty. Was one of the things I researched a bit before buying a press. Apparently the way it breaks the press is obvious and specific to use of the swage it attachment. I bought a Lee APP instead with the swaging kit. Have yet t...

Re: Amy Coney Barrett

I've been watching in the background of work the last couple days. She has been on point and poised throughout, unflappable and articulate. Really impressive showing. Her handling of Klobuchar was excellent along with several others. News is showing some of the more outrageous soundbites but the oth...

Re: Hodgdon buys powders from Western Powders

this is not a great thing in my eyes. Now just one company having issues can cause major supply problems on every shelf. Seems like with the exception of Vihtavouri and maybe one other it seems like just about all of what I see on the shelves is handled by 1 company going forward. A little scary....

Every time I have been I have seen people carrying both open and concealed (or not so well since I picked them out easily). I can say I have never been there not strapped.

Re: Primers???

BTW. Alpine Range has been great for powder and pistol bullets on the shelf if you are in DFW. Really contemplated that 8lb jug of titegroup but have other things I need to buy so settled for just some 1lbers instead. No primers though and no Varget when I looked today. varget seems to be a powder m...

Re: Primers???

Best chance is still the bog box stores or maybe your LGS IMO. I've found anywhere from 1-4k each week by hitting up local places. Timing is important though. Have to know when the shelves get stocked at different places or they'll be gone. Best luck as of late in DFW has been Scheels. On Saturday m...

Re: Remington Auctioned Off

agree about Ruger getting Marlin. Probably one of the better options for mass production with some level of QC for reasonably priced firearms. Hopefully this means we'll see Marlins for another generation. I just passed down a 60 to my daughter not long ago.

Re: ND at the gun club today during monthly pistol match

Separate from our hoarded ammo.... I usually have 6-12 months of match ammo on hand to plan ahead and usually buy in bulk of 500-1000 rds at a time minimum. I'll still pick up the occasional FMJ boxes when I'm out an about though just for random range ammo... Wife started shooting matches a few mont...

Re: My worse timing ever journey to beginner reloading

I just cleaned the first 500 in a sonic cleaner then decapped while sizing them. Worked fine and they were plenty clean enough. Took longer than ideal but fine while I'm getting started.
