I still have one of those somewhere. I also had "fun" with a Lyman 310 tool at one point:

Re: Taught a friend to reload today
Oddly-enough, when I first met him he was all leftie, anti-gun, anti-NRA etc. Then I took him to the range a few years back... now he has a semi-auto shotgun, 357 revolver, 380 sub-compact, his LTC and now his first AR receiver...flechero wrote:Way to go, Andy! We all need to start doing things like this to ensure that our next generation loves shooting and will fight to protect the 2A.

Taught a friend to reload today
There's a bit of a back-story. He bought his first revolver (a Taurus 8-shot .357) about 2-1/2 years ago so I made him buy dies and a Lee tumble-lube mold (158gr SWC) - and I cast about 200 bullets for him back then. I kept nagging him to lube the bullets so I could teach him how to reload them and he finally did so on Friday, having really been bitten hard by the shooting bug in the past month or so (got his LTC and a Ruger LCP II).
I dragged my single-stage press (bolted to a bar-stool) out to him and we loaded up a range of loads this afternoon so we can go test-shoot tomorrow, but he really enjoyed the logical process involved. I think it won't be long before he buys a press of his own:
